Ombre Fur?

I was petting Stella this weekend (she's my black cat) and I noticed her fur looked like this...Is that normal? It looks like when someone dye's their hair and then their normal hair starts growing out again...

It does look like "regrowth"! Looks like she was originally blonde. :lol:
I just checked the dark hair on both my cats and theirs doesn't look like that.

She looks completely black...until I pull the fur back...and it's not just in one spot or place but her fur on her entire body looks this way no matter where I part the fur o_O
This is what she looks like normally without parting her fur...So as you can see she looks jet black

She is stunning!

My cat is the opposite! All her fur is black or dark brown at the base, lightens to tan or white, depending on the spot, and then fades back to black. One strand of hair has no less than 4 bands of colors. Cats are fun :catman:
