I'm no longer a moderator

Last night I resigned as Moderator of the Lounge. I've really enjoyed being a moderator, but after the events on Sept 11, I feel that God is calling me in other directions. God has been urging me to spend more time with Him and in the close company of other Christians in both my "real" life and my "internet" life. So I've been restructuring a bit and I just don't have the time now that moderating the Lounge deserves. I didn't want to short change you or Anne.

I'll still be visiting but now as a regular member and not as frequently as before.

We will miss you as a moderator, but I totally understand how you feel. I have just come back from taking a break from this site, and although I missed everyone here, the break gave me a chance to find other things on the internet, that maybe I would not have found otherwise. I found some great christian chat rooms, and met some new friends, and although my heart still will always be here with the catsite, because of the many many wonderful friends I have made here, and their love for cats, I have also made new friends in other places,
and I still want to go back to those places and check things out there, so I may not have quite as much time to devote to this site as I used to, but I will still continue to moderate, as long as Anne thinks I am devoting enough time to it.

I may get flamed for this, but so be it, I am used to it now.... but I beleive that what happened here, that upset me to the point of leaving for awhile (and at the time I thought it would be for good, but I reconsidered), I beleive that it wasn't the fault of the person who I was upset with at the time, or any fault of my own, but it was because God wanted me to take a break from the site, to find these other places that have lifted me up so much spiritually, and he knew I would never stop spending every second of time I had on the internet to be in this site, unless I had a reason, so he gave me one.
God works in mysterious ways.

Anyway, this site still means the world to me, and I will continue to moderate, as long as I don't have to be on here the whole time I am online. If It seems it is getting too much for me to handle, or if Anne thinks I am not devoting enough time to it, I will resign also.

My main concern here as a moderator is helping Anne out. She is one of the most beautiful people (inside and out) that I have ever met, and she has a heart as big as gold.....and I don't ever want to let her down.

Anyway, Dawn, I hope you visit us often, and I know you and I will keep in touch through e-mails, and I am sure that everyone understands.

I still don't know you all very well here, but as Debby said, even though you won't be moderator here anymore, we will still look forward to your posts.

I had only recently started thinking about my adult relationship with God (32 years old and it took till now - sad huh?) a couple of months before the WTC/Pentagon attack.

Debby, if you don't mind me asking, could you recommend any of those Christian chats or discussions?

Dawn, I wanted to thank you again for the time you spent moderating the site. I think you made a wonderful moderator and I really enjoyed having you on the mod squad I too wish you all the best on your new way (well not actually new, but you know what I mean) and I hope to see you here in the future as much as possible.

Dawn I hope we'll see you often even if you're no longer a moderator. I had some turmoil in my personal life recently and had to take a break from the site too. It did me a lot of good and now I'm glad to be back again - it's just like re-uniting with good friends.
So I'm looking forward to your posts Dawn, take care and be happy.

Dawn; I am saddened at our loss, but enlightened by your choice. May God gicve you the courage to be a Great Wittness for Him in "cyber-space". I applaud your courage. I still come here daily to read the posts and try to keep up with everyone, but I seldom comment anymore; however, I could not let this go by without telling you how much I have appreciated your Moderating and guidance.

I will miss you too but I understand totally. I thing that this horrible thing that has happened has had a huge affect on people, me included.I have not been here as often myself and like TLK dont post as much. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you here when you can be here.

Thank you for all your kind words. It's been a long week, and it was nice to come here and read this. I've been getting ready for a garage sale, and that's always a lot of work. I have a bunch of kid stuff to sell since we've finally decided we're done with the baby thing. I'm going to use the money to get Puffy neutered, so that will be a relief. He's 4 months now, and I figure it's about time!
