Hi everyone,
My cats have always eaten dry food. About 3 months ago my male cat Alfie got cystitis. My vet recommended I feed him and my female cat the royal canin male neutered dry food. I hadn't had any problems until this last week, we bought a new bag on Saturday, and since then they've been eating less and less. Originally I put this down to the very hot weather we've been having, but this evening they completely refused it. I found a brand new bag of the dry food I used to give them in my cupboard, I've given them this and they've scoffed it down, the poor things were probably starving! After trying to look up and see if this could just be a bad batch which in itself would be strange, I've read some reviews with many cats becoming unwell on this food and other royal canin foods, some have even died! I'm unsure what to do now, I was thinking of getting another bag and seeing if they are fine with it, or to stop feeding them royal canin completely? But I'm concerned about Alfie getting cystitis again! Any opinions would be grateful!
Thank you!
