That's very unfortunate.
This is exactly what I've been looking for and cannot seem to find one that I trust. I've heard horrible things about both Young Again and Wysong EPIGEN 90. Those are the two closest ones to Dr. Eisley's that I've found though.
Thank you for these links. I hadn't seen the Tuft's link yet. That was a good summary it seems. Still frustrating that there doesn't seem to be a conclusion for the specific cause though.
Dr. Eisley's was reviewed and lab tested by the cats.com site:

Lab Test: https://cats.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Dr.-Elsey_s-Clean-Protein-Cat-Food-UPDATED.pdf
The lab test is linked in the review but the only indirect mention...
Good catch on the date! I saw so many recent reviews that were saying their cats were getting sick, I just assumed there was a connection with the high cyanide in the lab results. That makes it a little more confusing then.
The old formula for Dr. Eisley's looked perfect. I'm sad they changed it and now it has awful reviews and may have high cyanide.
What do you use for wet food?
That old formula looks amazing and is exactly what I've been looking for in a cat food. It's really a shame that they changed it so significantly.
FYI there was a lab report released this year that showed this food with the new formula had high levels of cyanide...
Hi,
I am wondering if any recent research has proven or disproven potatoes in the link between them and DCM in dogs/cats. I read the initial findings that showed 28% of the food in the study contained potatoes/sweet potatoes, while 90+% contained peas/legumes as the top ingredients.

I started another thread here since I didn't know if this one would get any additional responses: Struggling to find kitten food
The two I could find that aren't Young Again, Epigen90, and Dr. Eisley's (I've read bad things recently about all of them) are:

So far for wet food I'm leaning towards the Tiki After Dark series (the shredded/ non-pate version): https://www.chewy.com/tiki-cat-after-dark-variety-pack/dp/141403
For dry food, I'm leaning towards First Mate Grain Free Limited Ingredient Dry Cat Food: Amazon.com

I'm prioritizing wet right now but ideally would like to replace both. I don't like the catfish or flaxseed in that one but otherwise looks like a decent option to consider. Thank you for sharing
