Hi, yes we did take him to a vet who said he didn't have a chip.  The vet thinks he's about 8, given the state of his teeth (he needed some minor work). He's been with us now for 6 weeks, and as I said he's making himself at home.  I will take up your suggestion about the breeder community...

Hello, we found a black Abyssinian cat with an ear tattoo we cannot de-code.  We live in Canada, close to the US border and a major long-distance trucking terminal.  The tattoo doesn't match any system in use here, so I wonder if he's an international stowaway traveller?  His tattoo is 2CFBP...
