Hello all! Yes, it has been a year already. Little will officially be 1 year old on january 20th. In celebrstion I thought I would post an updste and some pics
For those who missed my very first posts almost a year ago, I thought I should you in on his beginning. I work at a vet clinic, and a...
Hello all, its been quite a while since I have posted and update on Little, the itsy bitsy little orphaned kitten I took in from my clinic at 1 day old. Well he is almost grown now, will be 9 months old at the end of this month. Neutered, vaccinated and just as sweet as can be. I was terrified...
I think he is going to quickly outgrow his name...he is 3.3 pounds today and will be 12 weeks old tuesday. I am still somewhat in awe that he has actually made it..with the shakey start he had, who would have thought he'd have grown into such a rambunctious strong boy! His reflexes are getting...
OMG...the one with the grey spot looks like Little when he was that age. At nearly 3 pounds now and feisty as all getout I can hardly remember that, but dang they are cute!!!
There is evidence showing neutering that early may retard the development of the urethra, which is why I am waiting until 6 months-ish. What I need less than another cat is a FLUTD cat He is not in contact with any intact females so breeding is not an issue
He is scheduled for a neuter the day he turns 6 months old lol
The grooming is odd to me, too, but he always has been a little bit developmentally behind. Oh well, he tolerates his baths very well so if he refuses to groom himself he can just get bathed lol. I keep meaning to pick up some pet...
Hello all. Little is 10 weeks old now and getting really big! 2.8 pounds to be exact. Even though he has grown up without a mom he has learned to do everything like a real cat (lol) except groom himself. He does not groom himself AT ALL..not even one lick, and I give him a bath every 3 weeks or...
Thank you. I guess the real test will be how does he turn out in 6 months or so The rest of my cats are all spoiled rotten brats so I guess we'll see
As for keeping him, there are really only a select few people I would give him up to and none of them have room so I am keeping him, for now...
SOunds like I am on the right track with discouraging the biting. I either redirect him to another toy or put him down when he is bitey.
As far as eating he eats anything he can fit into his mouth. He eats canned cat food, sometimes dry catfood, sometimes he even eats the adult catfood left...
thanks for the suggestion about the bitter apple spray. He is definitely not biting to be mean, he is just a rough player. We are working on redirecting but he's outgrowing his beanie baby and I can't find a replacment he'll accept! I am going to the valley this weekend to the store see if they...
It is Little's 9 week birthday tomorrow so I thought I should post a few pics and an update He is using the litterbox without fail, has been fully weaned from the bottle for 2 weeks and if starting to jump and play like a real cat. He's still does not groom himself and is VERY mouthy! I try not...
How much should he be eating btw? He gets 1/8 of a cup iams wet food mixed with royal canin baby cat dry food 3x per day, and would probably eat more if I let him. He also usually gets one bottle a day and still munches on the big kitties food too (Hills W/D)
Ok lets try this one more time. Sorry to all for the last pics, my photobucket wasn't working the other day so I thought I'd try and post em that way. Didn't realize you had to be registered there to view the pics
Stalking his brother:
The funny face he makes when he eats lol:
