Thank you to everyone for your support. I have just been beside myself these past few days and your kind words really make a difference.
Miko was cremated today and when I went to pick up his ashes, some of the pet nurses that took care of him back in October started getting teary eyed. They...
As some of you may know, Miko almost passed away in October. He had undergone 4 surgeries in a matter of 5 days and spent 2 weeks in intensive care. He recovered well thanks to his amazing vets and staff. When he had surgery in October, we also learned that he had developed arthritis. Over the...

For those who do know Miko's backstory, he is doing excellent and getting better each day. We are so grateful for your prayers, good vibes and support. Christmas photos of the boys will be posted next month.

Miko has to eat Science Diet C/D for the rest of his life. He prefers the dry formula so I only give him a small amount every morning. I don't like the ingredients in SD, and neither does his vet so when she says he has to eat it, I'm going to listen. I've been feeding him Merrick's Cowboy...
Miko's vet bill was $1459.63. The price was for 2 weeks of hospitilization, surgery, antibiotics, ultrasounds and x-rays. Fortunately, his vets did not charge us for emergency vet hours, 3 out of the 4 surgeries he had, weekly check-ups and prescription food.
4 surgeries and 3 weeks later Miko is doing quite well. He was able to come home last Friday and we have been keeping a close eye on him. Our main focus was to make sure he ate a normal amount of food and used the litter box. He seemed to do well with the litter box, but he didn't want to eat...
