Calico cat going through a rough patch

So I did call the vet today and spoke to the usual vet that I go to. He told me because her urinalysis was completely normal and there were no signs of blockage, crystals or stones, as long as she’s eating and takes the gabapentin he wants to wait for the urine culture to make sure it is 100%...

Calico cat going through a rough patch

Honestly? No. I’ve gone to the same vet since I got my second cat back in 2014. I’ve never had issues with them and they’ve always been supportive and helpful. The only difference is today the vet was not the usual one I request since it wasn’t scheduled.

Calico cat going through a rough patch

Hello everyone - I usually come to this website when I’m at a loss. I take care of four cats total. Two live with my dad and I make sure they have enough food, litter and up to date with their immunizations and physical. The other two are brother and sister and live with my boyfriend and myself...

Just because my dad and I go back and forth. I also combed him today and i...

    Change in behavior

Hello guys! My dad and myself have currently noticed a slight change in behavior in one of our cats. He is 3 years old, neutered. He’s very chill, likes to run around. Very picky eater but likes to eat his brothers dry food a lot. In fact he likes to bully his older brother. My dad told me he...

    The nuisance of fleas..

I have never vacuumed so much I sometimes wonder what my neighbor downstairs think lol. I’ve never been so thorough either. I’ve done every crevice I can find and the couch gets the most action since that’s where they mostly sleep. I have seen a decrease in their grooming so that makes me feel...

    The nuisance of fleas..

Yeah that’s exactly why I decided not to do it. My boyfriend already has bad seasonal allergies I didn’t want to make things worse for him.

    The nuisance of fleas..

oh I completely understand the flea cycle. I think I’m more so counting down cause I wanna see how many fleas have hatched since we started treating them. I wash all my clothes and bed sheets as well as the blanket they use regularly and vacuum every other day as oppose to every day now. it was...

    The nuisance of fleas..

I might do that. We’ll see. I have left my panic phase and am now more so angry. So I decided to just countdown the number of days the kittens go without having live fleas on them. We were at day 2 until this morning when one of them was licking themselves and I see something jump on the white...

    The nuisance of fleas..

Yeah, the vet techs told me i just had to put the spot treatment on and just vacuum which is what I did. But now I’ll just vacuum and then spray the carpets and couch and wait a few days to spray again and repeat the process. We are going to do the spot on treatment again this weekend since it’s...

    The nuisance of fleas..

If you can update me on how that goes! Not sure how long it takes for that to start kicking in treatment wise but I am willing to try almost anything or just have it for future reference. Fleas are a nuisance for me now and i hope to defeat the issue soon but knowing my love for furry animals it...

    The nuisance of fleas..

I read your comment and was like nooo! But fleascience said “Does vacuuming kill flea eggs? Vacuuming can remove 32-90% of flea eggs from carpets. 100% of the removed eggs will be killed in the process.” made me feel a bit better about my psycho vacuuming

    The nuisance of fleas..

We have been emptying our canister outside when we finish. I read an article that fleas and larvae automatically die once sucked up by a vacuum (they couldn’t verify with eggs because they didn’t experiment with eggs) but yes I was thinking about getting a flea collar and just placing it inside...
