Your advice doesn’t fit my situation. It may be perfectly reasonable elsewhere.
However, she does already have a doggy playmate. So perhaps that will just have to suffice.
She has stimuli to keep her occupied aplenty.

It happens when I open the door. She becomes incredibly excited, follows me until I sit, jumps on me, purrs incessantly and rubs her face all over me, while adding a bite or two until she calms down.

could this be counterintuitive, as it might show her that greeting, (in her own way) lovingly, is frowned upon with the “loud NO”?
