Okay so this is what I did!!!! Got an adjustable screen, velcro tape and literally velcroed the additional screen to the window frame. Leylah (my cat) has not clawed at the screen whatsoever. Here are some pics.. http://i833.photobucket.com/albums/z...l/b7f700f0.jpg...

would the adhesive from the velcro be easily removed from the window though?

we already have a ledge for the windows and they sit up there all the time. i dont think i understand what some of you are saying.. add a shelf on top of the window ledge? what im saying is this cat is actually clawing at the corner of the screen to tear it open/ push it off.. something of that...

I did use strides pads at first because the vet suggested it. I bought the "sensitive skin" kind but the 2nd day of cleaning I switched to peroxide. It's doing wonders, and her chin looks so much better. I also put a neosporin cream on it after cleaning/dabbing w/ the peroxide.
