I know this a cat forum, but my sister's dog passed away suddenly last night in the car on the way to the emergency vet. Is it strange that I had a hard time sleeping and am very distraught considering it wasn't my pet. Thanks.

Also, how can a vet tell you to just take her and put her to sleep without even examining her. They cannot diagnose over the phone. No, I do not feel that overdosing her on medication is humane. The only humane way is through euthanizing.
