Thanks Tara for your thoughtful response. I am sorry for your loss, and being so close together; yes that's a lot to overcome. I once read that the amount of grief we suffer at the loss of a loved one, is equal to the amount of love we had for our departed. That certainly feels true. But...
Thank you Les for taking the time to read my post and respond. I really like that quote. Yeah, drinking is not the answer. I'm not usually like that. But one to calm the nerves, led to too many. I actually feel the loss of Angel even more since the night this happened. Just feeling down...
Thank you so much Antonio for taking the time to read my post and share in this loss. We all love our cats like they are our children. It is good to share with people who all know how we feel.
It’s amazing how much we love our kitties. They love us unconditionally, and we love them back the same way. Love is love, it is so strong. And it is always devastating to say goodbye. Hedges was loved and you will see him again. God bless you!!!!
Pls don’t feel guilty . You walked the mile with your Alfie and did everything you could from what you describe. He is gone. Let your great love for him survive. You loved him to the end, and somehow he knows that. You will be reunited one time again, bless you darling.
I lost my old boy Hobbs earlier this year. He was 18 and just gave out. Me and his mommy Jenny were with him the last three hours before he crossed the bridge. But tonight my 13 year old girl Angel fell from the top of a half wall and hit a shelf on the way down. She had internal bleeding, and...
Thanks everybody again. Your expressions of condolences mean a lot and are so appreciated. Jcat: glad you mentioned Millie's little "milk mustache". It was unique and made her even that much more sweet.
Hi mmaziaiz: my sincere condolences on the loss of Gizmo. Gizmo sure was a beautiful kitty. Look on the internet as I have been doing quite a bit since Millie died yesterday. There are so many great sites like this one where you can read about grieving the loss of a loved pet, and other...
Thank you all for your kind words; as in times of grief they mean a lot. I guess the first few days are gonna be bad; me and my wife are already looking for her to be there doing the things that she always did; like waiting for her breakfast right near us, making her little "silent" meow as we...
This was a terrible tragedy, but don't second guess yourself. If you need to, see a grief counselor. These kitties are like our children. Like most of us we know the feeling of an empty space in the house where our kitty used to be. Take care, and I'm praying for you. Time will lessen the pain.
She came into my life through a place named "Kitty City".
She was over a year old when I adopted her in 2006.
She was spunky, playful and loved our family.
She was adopted as a playmate for her brother.
My 18 year old black cat passed (Binkie), and
Timmie needed a sibling. They loved each...
