Just wanted to say sorry I haven't posted. I'm a nursing student, my bedroom flooded on thurs and had to rip floor out so bedroom is currently in living room a AND my son swallowed a coin and wouldn't stop vomiting and we had to take him to ER today to have X-ray done (he is fine should pass...
I didn't get the second opinion because I posted his detailed blood work on a site specifically related to FIP and everyone was in agreement that all signs point in that direction. Thanks for checking back and your support :) I appreciate it very much.
He has been on steroids and antibiotics. He has gained a little weight but all his blood work points to DRY FIP. So we are keeping him happy and well fed and will return to vet in March to get one more blood draw to see his levels again. Just trying to enjoy the time we have left with him.
I spoke to vet tech and they just said that they didn't test for that. Told me test price. The antibiotics prescribed already are the same that work on toxoplasmosis. Maybe the vet was also hoping it could be toxo just didn't verbalize clearly.
I just called vet to see if IgM levels were high. They didn't even test taz for Toxoplasmosis. So annoyed. Here is a current pic as you can tell very skinny. Maybe you can't tell from pic but you can feel all his bones if you touch him.
Thank you oneandhalfcats. I will show my husband this article. He has had a steady appetite today :). So I will start antibiotics tomorrow. Give taz some time to get some nourishment in his body. He is anemic right now.

Not giving antibiotics at this time because of the cats low weight. If by chance he does have a reaction to antibiotics he will die. The vet thinks it's FIP dry. A elevated IgG blood levels suggest chorionic infection. Antibiotics only works for bacteria NOT viruses. The antibiotics were px on...
