    Bella has a tumour :(

Not very well. My Bella crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 26th March :'(  Even now, we STILL do not have the test results to say what the mass that was in her chest was.   I won't bore you with the list of incompetencies we were forced to endure while our baby girl was sick.  Bella was admitted to...

    Bella has a tumour :(

Thank you everyone. Frustratingly, the specialist called tonight at 7.15pm when I was on the tube so he left a voicemail for me on my mobile saying he was going to call the home phone. Message on the home phone said he was going to call my work phone. Message on the work phone was he was going...

    Bella has a tumour :(

A lot has happened in the last 2 weeks but we're still no clearer on what the problem is. Took Bella to see the referral specialist who was convinced that she had a thymoma which is a benign tumour. I left her there overnight so that they could do more blood tests, CT scan and to take a biopsy...

    Bella has a tumour :(

It's been a long time since I've visited the forum and much has happened. Yesterday, I took Bella to the vets because I was worried about her weight and she had seemed subdued for a few days.  She had had laryngitis back in January and lost her meow and prior to that, in November she had to be...

    Diabetic question

My previous cat, Mittens was diabetic. Sugar spikes aren't good but it's also hard to know what causes them. Have you tried spraying the cat carrier with feliway spray? I always do this the day before I have to take either of my girls to the vets and it really does help keep them chilled out.

    Scented oil candles and cats

Yes, she goes to the vet whenever I don't think she is behaving normally. Since September 2010 she has had about 4 eye ulcers - each time, it's the alternate eye i.e. September, it was her left eye, October it was her right eye, January it was her left eye, February it was her right eye. When...

    Cindy and Eye Ulcers

Thanks Robin. The next time this happens, she will be going to an eye specialist. Our vet performed a battery of tests but they've all come back negative so they say that something in my home has changed and is causing the ulcers

    Scented oil candles and cats

Hi there, Thanks for the reply. I have a feeling that they are the cause of Cindy's eye ulcers so I've put them all away for now. I'm really hoping that they were the cause as it means that she won't have to suffer them anymore

    Scented oil candles and cats

Does anyone know if it is safe to use scented oil candles in a room frequented by cats? Cindy and Bella are sensible enough to not try and ingest it but I was wondering whether simply inhaling the scent could cause problems like ulcers?

Cindy keeps chewing all the paper in the house

Cindy gets royal canin wet and dry food. The biscuits are permanently available and she gets a pouch of Royal Canin Instinctive for breakfast and one for dinner. She just grazes on the biscuits when she is peckish in between meals. She's been on this diet for 3 years now. I do vary the dry...

Cindy keeps chewing all the paper in the house

Heh. I do that already. However, my husband, lazy so and so that he is, never puts anything away so it's his paper that gets chewed! I've left magazines out for her to chew but he says that I am simply encouraging her behaviour by doing this

    Cindy and Eye Ulcers

Hi, Since September 2010, Cindy has been suffering from eye ulcers practically every month. They are never in the same eye - September it was her right eye, October it was her left eye, November, back to the right eye etc.... They are being treated with Fucithalmic eye drops and they always...
