    Feeding Small Rat to Cats?

If I keep in mind that the snake needs to eat, I can feed him live. That is how he lives and I love him and deal with it. I do like rats and, as I said, I was kind to the rat. I've had them as pets before, along with mice and hamsters. But that doesn't mean I feel against animals eating them...

    Feeding Small Rat to Cats?

I don't find it to be a question of being humane... Snakes eat rats. Period. My snake is 14 years old and has NEVER had a frozen rat, always live mice (pinkies, then small mice, now small rats) throughout his life. I didn't want to hang onto the rat and risk it getting lose and have another...

    Feeding Small Rat to Cats?

I went to the pet store to get a small rat for my snake. They had a 2 for $5 on them, so I went ahead and got two, thinking they'd be small enough for the snake to get both. Got home to realize one was enough! Now I have an extra rat (which is in a comy little cage at the moment) and I don't...

    Saying Goodbye Due to Behaviour?

She's not an indoor cat, first of all. She was originally partially outdoor, more outdoor than indoor. We inheritted her and she took a liking to me, so we kept her. She's always been pretty unhappy indoors, though, and likes to hiss at and bite my boyfriend and the other cats. Yes, she is...

    Scared?

There's a cover on the litterbox... So they all share, but that way she can't be pestered. I wouldn't mind her on the fridge if it weren't for her sometimes leaving "messes" up there. That's why we'd rather she not. We're thinking of giving her to a friend, though...

    Saying Goodbye Due to Behaviour?

I'm starting to feel like a bad mum, but I think I may have found a solution for Foofy's problem(s)... My boyfriend's friend, a girl I've met before, has a farm. They do have other cats, but they have a barn for shelter and plenty of space to avoid each other. It sounds sort of mean kicking a...

I seriously regret the day I ever said "yes"....

Just wanted to say I know how you feel about your cat. I love my Foofy and had her before the other cats, but she seems to hate EVERYONE and I'm starting to consider getting rid of her.

    Scared?

"You may also want to try to set up a safe place for Foofy with her own litter box in there. I've heard of people using a babygate for a room that the little ones can't jump over." The kittens aren't small enough that they couldn't jump over a baby gate. (I just remembered I forgot to comment...

    Scared?

Is there anything I can do to make them all get along, though? Our apartment isn't THAT big and we can't deal with Foofy leaving "messes" every time she gets mad at my boyfriend or his cat/kitten. Unforunately if we can't make it work we may have to consider rehoming her... And I'd hate to do...

    Scared?

The one "kitten," Roarie, is not new. She's about 8 months old and Foofy is not AS worried about her. 1337 we've had a month and a half now and he bothers the heck out of Foofy. Foofy eats and drinks and uses the litter box, but sometimes is a bit too scared to come out and do so. It's like...

    Scared?

Lately, Foofy has been acting very scared. When she comes out and I go to pet her or touch her at all, she cowers down. Even when she gets on my lap and I pet her, she seems a bit different. When she settles into being petted, she seems a bit more loving and sprawls out on me quicker than she...

    Stereotypes in different cat breeds

My aunt has a red tabby named Cloe and she's not an affectionate cat, I don't think. She likes to fake you out... She meows all nice like she wants to be loved, then she paws and bites at you (playing?). So it definitely is only a stereotype.

    Creating a Harmonious Environment

Foofy was in her own room for a couple days and was let out this morning. So far there were no spiffs between her and 1337. Hopefully the little vacation was good for her (although she did make two small messes, even with a litter box being accessible).

    Creating a Harmonious Environment

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet That explains it a bit. His name is 1337, not LEET. "LEET" is just how you pronounce 1337.

    Creating a Harmonious Environment

I just put her in our extra room (it has my computer, etc., in it) with a make-shift litter box, food, and water. She was annoyed/scared by 1337 again and made a mess on the counter and the carpet. I really think she's getting scared since it causes her to make a BM in the place she stands...
