The job market is what brought us here...lol. My husband's an electrician, and work just plain dried up for him there, so we decided that before things got worse, we would leave.
My husband was born here, and maintained his citizenship, and his family lives here, so we were really fortunate...
I wish they hadn't voted Janette off last night. I really thought she would last much longer, too. I really loved her attitude, and her dancing was superb!
I can't choose between the guys, though...they're all so amazing!
Huge YAY for air conditioning. We just moved here to Canada from Southern California, where we were both DYING in the heat. This week's been hot here, too, but hey, at least it's not nine months out of the year, and is merely a few weeks!
I've been a fan of cold all my life...so I think...
NICE!! See? Everyone should have a cat. Well, everyone that's responsible, actually LIKES cats (too many I've come across that don't), wants to PLAY with said cats, is willing to tailor the litterbox to said cat's preference, is willing to find the right food for said cat...wait, too many...
Hobbes loves to lay in the crook of my leg (I sleep on my tummy with one leg straight and one bent...he lays in the crook of the bent leg). Sunny...well, she's not so...considerate. Anytime she lays on the bed, she lays right up against Hobbes, wherever that may be...be it on Daddy's leg/feet...
I don't have experience with CATS and pregnancy/new babies...but I was living with my sister and her husband when I was pregnant with my daughter (ten years ago), and their two boxer dogs. The one that knew me the most, Daisy, used to spend time guarding me CONSTANTLY. She used to lay in my...
Thanks, guys!
I get so worked up when there's something wrong with my babies. And there's something about Hobbes, specifically, that I get so upset when he's not well. He had an issue in the past with cystitis, and I was convinced I would lose him...I've never seen him so upset and weak and...
Just wanted to update you guys on how our boy is doing...
The golf balls worked like a charm!! He's eating gradually through the day again, and we've upped the amount he's fed, and once again only have to fill the bowl once a day!! WOOHOO!! I'm so happy that worked so well!
Oh, and we also...
Interesting bowl...I'll propose the idea to my husband and see what he thinks. Given that it's only about $10, we could probably afford it. Just depends on shipping.
Thank you!
Ok, we put golf balls in (Em had some that she'd collected because we used to live by a golf course). There's just enough room around them to get one piece of food, but he'll have to move them around to get more (which is what you meant, right?). We were laughing...he approached the food all...
Hmm...I think we'll try that, too. Thank you!
You're right, he does hunker down to eat (kinda like loafs down, almost laying down). So, I can see how raising the dishes would help!
Those are all really smart ideas...thank you!!
I'm going to try the golf ball idea...it sounds like a real winner!! Mostly because the food he throws up is totally unchewed...looks as if he just swallows it whole (which may be part of the problem). I would try wet food, but in all their...
