Both Rîna and Tällia started this caper a couple of weeks after I got them; before that, they'd used the litter without a problem (Tällia in particular simply would not leave the bath alone). I ended up putting a stop to it by leaving an inch or so of water in the bath. They jumped in a couple...

Although sight damage means I'm unable to drive and there are vets a great deal closer to where I live, I'm more than happy to make the extra effort to get to this vet; while Kim owns/runs RVC, I wouldn't consider taking the little purrers anywhere else...
It is urgent that you do this ASAP: i.e., absolutely as soon as possible! At eight months old, Lucifer is perfectly able to impregnate his mother (yes, it's pretty-much guaranteed he'll try this, if you don't get them fixed). It's possible he's tried already, which might explain why she's...
Perfectly fine, and it's very much appreciated. Unfortunately, there was never a sighting; no hint; no information of any kind, despite posters, advertisements, offered reward etc.. I have to assume either that she was hit and died that first night, or some lunatic found her and did her harm...
This will be my last post in this thread, unless, by some miracle, my little Kîa is alive, somewhere out there.
Looking back,Still sometimes it's hard to believe it's been so long. Two years! At times, it seems only yesterday she was here, chasing Nimrod, curled up on the bed, or perched high...
If I had to guess, I'd say it was smell; in Henry's case, the difference between male and female human scent.
One of mine, Kîa, did not like any of the five or so Indian couriers who delivered to my place during the time I had her. She was perfectly fine with everybody else, and definitely...
Nearly thirty years ago, we had a woman who lived across the road from us who was…let's say, a little on the dim side at times. Her surname was Dafter; couldn't have better suited her! :D
Anyway, although she had nothing against cats, she could make the most inane remarks. One afternoon, she...
The ones I bought are this size. But I decided very deliberately to buy the largest and most comfortable I could find, then put thick, warm, fluffy dog-beds in each, so the cats would have plenty of room and lots of padding should they get frightened. Probably over-kill, but Nimrod is very...
Sorry, can't give any advice. I've never managed it with two of mine, no matter what I try. :(
Kîa was happy to let me brush her pretty-much whenever she was settled, and Nimrod doesn't mind too much, so long as you don't keep it up too long (he'll try to bite the brush if you do). But Rîna...
To get back on-topic. :) My three, being indoor/outdoor, have break-away collars. Unfortunately, Nimrod has discovered he can lie on his back, grab the bell and pull. Off comes the collar, and then it's time for a good play and a chew! :D The little sod's done it twice in the last few days...
Be careful with GPS collars; they can be very big and bulky. Also, the battery life isn't good (usually a few days at most). Local, Wireless trackers can be a much better alternative, as in general they are very much less bulky, have vastly better battery life, and desexed cats aren't likely...
Woops! sorry for not answering this earlier; I'd changed site preferences a while ago to stop being subscribed to every thread at which I looked, and forgot to subscribe after posting. So, of course, didn't realise anybody had replied. :(
Thanks. :) Rîna has a temper at times (usually when...
Hmm; not quite sure what to do about this, so would appreciate any suggestions. :)
Unfortunately, the two girls have never been too keen on being brushed, either with a standard soft brush, or with the ZoomGroo; they'll tolerate it for a few seconds, then spar and squirm away (nothing nasty...
