My cat follows me to the shop and his re-call is better than the dog's, lol. His heel-work needs a bit of work though, as he seems to take the scenic route when he follows me, lol.
He doesn't like to retrieve though. He leaves that to the dog, followed by a disdainful look....
I don't know if it is dangerous. But my cats are indoor/outdoor, so I'd rather have them chipped (Bubbles doesn't like collars and has them off faster than we can put them on...)
cats also "lose" chips - I rescued a cat before which was microchipped before it went missing, when it came to me there was no microchip (had her scanned at the Vets), but thankfully the owner could recognize her by a nick in the ear.
Maybe the first chip has gone walkabouts ?
we keep fish as well as cats (Cat TV, lol), so flea bombing is out of the question (I am not going to catch 20 neons in a 6ft tank.....)
Borax sounds like a good idea, does anyone know where to get it in the uk ?
Hello
I am not having much luck with my 2 babies at the moment. Gizmo somehow managed to break his hip and he had an Operation today to remove the Hip Joint.
Has anyone got any experience with that ? He seems ok for now, and he is using the leg better than before the surgery, but it looks a...
Hello
Thanks for the tips. We will work on them. Trouble is, it it difficult to seperate them. Cats upstairs means they cant get outside (they are indoor outdoor cats) without walking past him, which they refuse to do. Dog upstairs means he would be alone, away from us.
We currently keep him...
Hello
He is a collie mix, sweet as pie and seems quite well trained. he came to the shelter as a stray, so no history.
He is 3 years old, and smaller than a border collie, and quite skinny. could be a whippet/collie mix or possibly german shepheard.
It's pretty much the same as the old whiskas, but more expensive. The shops are slowly phasing out the old whiskas pouches and you can get some good deals on them, if you want.
I'd agree with the "let her out during the day and keep her in at night" suggestion. My cats are indoor/outdoor and they learn quite quick in autumn that 10pm is time to snuggle down and be done for the night. In the summer they just come and go as they please.
I know how it feels. I couldn't take Bubbles to the emergency vet last night, because I am broke and can only just afford the "normal" vet.
The only suggestion I can make is, to go the same Vet which treated your other cat and see if you can come to some agreement. He knows how much you spent...
Bubbles doesn't drink much either, so I get Whiskas Canned Kitten food (the loaf style) and mix it up with warm water, until it is all gooey and stinks to high heaven. He loves it and he gets some water as well.
Hello
latest update:
He is back tohis old self and begging to go out.... lol, no chance for a couple of days. I guess he needs to go for a smelly... he hates doing those indoors, but there is no way I am going to let him out until he is a) recovered and b) less spooked.
He is still a bit...
