He is back. He came back Thursday afternoon. He was scared and took about 15 minutes to come out of the cage. He wanted nothing to do with us for a couple hours. I asked about flea and tick treatment and they said it was impossible because he was not handleable. He only let's us touch him.

***Third update*** For anyone still following my story. I talked to the humane society on Monday. The lady said that his leg is doing much better. He has been medically cleared so he will be neutered today (Wednesday). He will be back at the humane society on Thursday around noon. She said...

They have been treating the abscess. They said he was responding to the meds, but he needed more than a day to heal his leg access before sending him to get neutered. Since he was brought in as a "feral cat", we have no "rights".

I know where they are going to take him to get neutered. I'm going to call them in the morning and ask if I pay for the neuter and vaccines, if they would neuter him sooner.

***second update*** His leg was absessed. I went to the humane society yesterday hoping they would let me see him. They couldn't because of their policy. They said they only do neuters/spays on Wednesdays, so he has to stay there and get cleared medically next Tuesday so he can be neutered on...

UPDATE**** thank you all for your advice. My husband was able to get him into a crate and we took him to the humane society. He will see a vet tomorrow, get antibiotics, neutered, vaccines. They said they will call and we can get him Thursday.

Can someone please answer a couple questions? First, what type of cat is this? Also, I am assuming she is a girl, but why would she have buldging on the back side?
