It did not go well. The cancer was back and his vitals were not good and his heart and breathing were bad- to them. Whether it was Fanconi's syndrome or not responding this time to the chemotherapy they don't know. I expected him to go in just to be hydrated but it did not go that way. I had him...
Odin update-
I did syringe food & water last night and this morning- but in between- late last night and some today- he will take a couple of bites or licks of other food. I'm not sure what to think. I did give the Entyce and Mirataz this morning and it does not do what it seemed to prior.
He...
He seems worse since he has been on the Chlorambucil from Thursday. But it seems like there are so many things that could be coincidences with Meds etc. it is hard to isolate things out and know for sure if the Chlorambucil is making him worse, or it is the underlying condition coming out more...
Thanks Fionasmom,
We see the regular vet. I am really lucky as they will give him fluids and are only 20 minutes from where we live. The oncologist- which is through an Emergency Vet Specialist. will not reopen until Tuesday. Odin has been through issues- a few years ago he had to be...
fionasmom -
I saw that on another thread you know about Chlorambucil.
Yes- the vet did say Fanconi's syndrome was rare and it was about 2-3 months after Odin getting off of it on Jan. 6- that I would say his eating was back to normal.
In fact he went from 9 pounds to 10 pounds.
Then April...
Thank you
Thank you! I didn't check the notification bell so did not know you responded until now. I read both articles and they are helpful! I'll see if my vet can prescribe me the critical care.
Sorry I am just coming on now. Glad to hear he is doing better! My cat Odin was chatty in the beginning but that changed. In any case, to me- it does not sound like Theo tolerates it well so I hope the vet can come up with something else in the future. I know Odin is on Entyce but that causes...
Hi,
My cat Odin was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Feb. 2021, He was on chlorambucil until January 2022 when it seemed like he had something called Fanconi's syndrome as a result of the Chl- chemo treatment. He did go into remission. He is also on Prednilisone and has been throughout...
I can't help you out that much. My cat is on Mirtazapine and doesn't like it. I do the ear dose. But it does help him eat- as does Entyce.
With the Mirtazapine I put it in his ear- he bucks- even though I am gentle or try to be and then jumps away runs away and looks at me blinking his eyes...
