    Help! Super fussy bottle babies

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I went back to a syringe for a while and that seemed to help them get the hang of it. They now happily guzzle a bottle :)

    Help! Super fussy bottle babies

Yes, I have both. I think these guys might just be ornery :)

    Help! Super fussy bottle babies

I have :( But the tip on consistency is good, maybe I've been bouncing around too much and confusing them. Despite the feeding issues they are the sweetest and cutest, they are part of a litter that was found tied up in a bag in the gutter so the fact that they're so healthy is wonderful.

    Help! Super fussy bottle babies

I'm fostering 2-week old kittens and I just CANNOT get them to take the bottle with any regularity. Sometimes they will latch right away and settle down, but most of the time they scrabble madly, try to climb onto the bottle, bite the nipple, cry loudly, etc. — basically, they do everything but...

    peoples experience fostering kittens?

My husband and I both lost our longtime cats within the span of a year and a few months ago we decided to foster a mom with kittens in an effort just to help the house feel less empty. We both joke now about how our cats must have sent these guys to us because they have helped so much with the...

    Encouraging weaning

Yes they want her fully dried up before spaying — I am unclear whether that's a "must have" or "ideal but ok to do it either way."

    Encouraging weaning

We are fostering a nursing mom with four kittens—our first foster litter. The kittens will be nine weeks old this weekend and mom is still nursing them a fair amount. We would like to get her spayed soon and the vet has advised us to begin separating her from the kittens to encourage them to...

    Mama cat that hates jumping?

There are four kittens; they are eight weeks old now and yes mom will be getting spayed soon (as will the kittens when it is time). They started out as a foster family but we fell in love so are adopting mom and two babies, and my in-laws are adopting the other two. Giant foster fail :)

    Mama cat that hates jumping?

Anyone ever had a cat that just hates being on any surface other than the floor? We took in a pregnant stray about eight weeks ago; since we've had her she has not wanted to jump up on anything in the house. Her kittens are now at the age where they're exploring the whole house and they love to...

4-week old kittens with bright orange, runny poop

Forgot to check back in - in case anyone finds this post later and has a similar problem - the babies had roundworms. Two doses of dewormer later they are doing great and all poops are normal!

4-week old kittens with bright orange, runny poop

Thank you! I have seen the notes about "too much bile in the liver" regarding orange poop on some websites, but am unclear as to what that means exactly and how it is treated. I will report back after dewormer and I suppose we will go from there.

Kitten with Swimmer's Syndrome - anyone know an expert willing to consult via video?

Also I'm sorry the rescue group has been of no help! It's definitely very treatable and we have seen ours improve greatly in just five days of taping.

Kitten with Swimmer's Syndrome - anyone know an expert willing to consult via video?

I'm currently fostering a litter of 4-week old kittens, two of whom have swimmer's, if I can help in any way! Our vet clinic here showed us how to tape their legs and they seem to be improving already. I am by no means an expert but I would be happy to show you what they showed us. It's similar...

4-week old kittens with bright orange, runny poop

Hi all, apologies if this has been answered elsewhere — I found a lot of QUESTIONS about orange poop in kittens but no one reporting back on what the diagnosis was. I'm fostering a mama cat with kittens, they are 4 weeks old today, and I've noticed at least one (possibly more—it's hard to tell...
