All grown up! That was a fast (almost) 8 weeks. These babies swill head back to the shelter this weekend when they turn 8 weeks. They will be spayed/neutered and adopted out to their forever families. One of the easiest and most enjoyable fostering experiences we have had so far.

Congratulations!! I was thinking about you/her today hoping your waiting was over. She will continue to contract for a couple days at least. Did the vet do an X-ray to confirm big babies or just palpate? If you feel actual kitten movement, there could be another one in there. But if she is...

I've had 4 pregnant female fosters and not a single one has ever given any indication that they were a day or hours away from delivering. Eating, drinking acting normal right up until delivery. The waiting is the hardest part!

I use the clay litter like Johnny Cat when our fosters are first litterbox training. They inevitably will "test out" a piece or two but it's clay so will break down if they swallow a piece. Once they stop (usually around 7 weeks) I switch to a clumping litter.

Actually, the place she is in now is the nicest she's ever been in. All hardwood floors, new furniture and no pets have been there before. They did not give an estimate, just confirmed pregnancy. She's in a warm, safe place now getting lots of love and good food. I will update as we progress.

We are fostering her thru the shelter. She will go back to the shelter and be spayed then adopted. I'll post some pics of them in a another week when they are 2 weeks old.
