FIP could have been a possibility but we were told by the vets nothing stood out to them to safely say it was. It does bug me that we won't know what happened. I built her a box out of white cedar to bury her in. I'm not a fan of autopsy type stuff. Just wanted her body to be at peace.
I thank...
In case anyone was wondering......I'm sorry to report my wife and I decided to lay kitty to rest this evening. When we arrived at the specialist's office today her temp was nearly 106*. She was delirious. Nothing in the tests stood out to the specialist. The biopsy revealed no findings other...
We have an appointment with an internal medicine specialist today. Also we hope to find out the results of the biopsy. We have to find a treatment fast, we literally have to nurse her every day. We have done and spent to much to throw in the towel just yet.
Thanks for the replies. She has had a multitude of tests. SNAP test (FIV, Flev) etc were negative. Its leaning to possibly cancer of some type or an infection. But she has no obvious cause of the infection with the exception of swollen lymphnodes. Two have been sent out for biopsy. She is...
If anyone has experienced a persistent fever with their cat please help. My cat was hospitalized for 4 days and had a ton of tests to include surgery of lympnode removal. She is home home but the fever will not subside. Even in the hospital it never improved much. We are waiting for a biopsy to...
After surgery her fever came down and was at normal temp. Best news so far. May get to bring her home tomorrow :). Then just have to wait on biopsy results.
I'll try to keep this short.........About a week ago we noticed our indoor/outdoor cat wasn't feeling well. She is 3 years old. Basically she was lethargic and no appetite. Took her to regular vet one evening and he noticed a lump under her jaw closer to the ear. He did a needle aspirate and...
The house has been cleaned and is continuing to be cleaned and treated. I missed the thread about Zodiac. I never use OTC products especially spot topicals, however, I thought *some* shampoos were ok to use. Thanks for the quick replies. We are not infested with fleas but I am noticing a few...
I applied Frontline plus 3 days, not sure its doing much. I didn't have a flea shampoo on hand at the time but now I have some Zodiac flea and tick shampoo. Is it ok to bath the cats now in addition to the Frontline already applied? Cats are adults.
While I understand why you make this statement, sometimes its not feasible. Most vets don't recommend a raw diet because they don't know anything about it and won't admit it. The chances of having a holistic vet in ones area are slim. You can find good information online from reputable sites and...
Crisco is an absolute sweetheart. She is timid at times and as always been that way since we adopted her from a gentleman who was looking to give her away. She wouldn't hurt a fly.
