    Maine coon kitten

I’m not happy with his diarrhoea, he’s eating and playing fine but this morning didn’t make it to the litter tray. I will be getting a poo sample and getting him in at the vets tomorrow. Weight wise he is gaining well, he was 2.02 kg on Monday when I got him and today he is 2.19kg.

    Maine coon kitten

If after the worming treatment he still has diarrhoea I’ve to take him in for more tests. It could even be the stress of moving or change of food the vet said but I would have thought it would have calmed down by now. In himself he’s absolutely fine and gaining weight.

    Maine coon kitten

I’ve spoken to my vet this morning as he still has diarrhoea, she asked how he is in himself which is extremely lively so I’ve to treat him for worms even though where I got him from said he had been wormed. I’m literally having to clean him when he goes.

    Maine coon kitten

I didn’t see the red flags until I was there and then I couldn’t not get him. He will have a brilliant home with me and will be spoilt rotten like my other 3 are.

    Maine coon kitten

Is there anyone that has knowledge of size of a Maine coon kitten? On Monday I got a Maine coon kitten he isn’t registered but I saw both parents who were very large and I’ve seen the pedigree papers. I was told his date of birth was 13th July which would make him 9 weeks old yesterday ( I know...

    HELP, cat won’t eat

The vet said it was him having corona virus which caused the loose stools. He’s been like this since getting him, we’ve literally tried so many different foods varying in consistency. I messaged the man my son bought him from and he said he didn’t seem keen on wet food but he didn’t know how much...

    HELP, cat won’t eat

The vet did say he has some gingivitis, we are back at the vets on Friday for another glucose test and it will be a different vet we see as the one we have been seeing doesn’t work on a Friday. There’s no other vets nearby to where we live. The vet we have been seeing has actually called a...

    HELP, cat won’t eat

My adult son still lives with me, 5 weeks ago he bought a beautiful Maine coon kitten (now 6 months old). His previous owner said he was eating kitten iams and wet meat ( no specific brand). Ralph barely eats anything and he had loose stools, 2 weeks ago we took him to the vets as he was being...

    Rough play

It’s actually us humans not the other cats he’s being aggressive with when playing although my other cats don’t go near him when he’s growling. Where we bought him from he had shared the household with his sister so I would have thought he is used to sharing play time. Aside from the rough play...

    Rough play

We are a multi cat household so I am used to cat behaviour . Last week my son bought a 5 month old Maine coon (we haven’t owned a Maine coon before). We always have play time with our cats but Ralph (the Maine coon) is extremely aggressive when playing. If he gets a toy he growls and won’t let...

    Stomatitis

This is my first time posting as I’ve lurked in the background. My cat Joey started with stomatitis Febr last year, I tried lots of different things and he kept having steroid injections but we couldn’t get on top of it. On December 1st he had a partial mouth extraction (all the teeth out...
