Doctoral candidate in molecular biology. Grew up with cats and have been a volunteer at the local animal shelter throughout grad school, but only recently became an independent cat owner after (predictably) immediately bonding with my first foster litter. Now a cat parent to Grey Kitten (officially: Lilac) and Orange&White (Horatio) and foster to semi-feral semi-kitten Tilly. Former foster to Longhair (Tiberius, now Martin) and Orange (Timon, now Fire Hunter) who were half of a quartet of sick, feral 7-week-olds acquired in early May and are now happily adopted into a loving family.
