My kitty is on propan and it took more than 5 weeks to work. I use a compounded cream version which I rub twice a day in his ears. And it happened one day and he never had an accident after that. What a blessing! Now he is back cuddling and sleeping with me and no accidents!
Are these kitties Manx? I have a Manx that I got from a shelter and he was fine up until about 6 months ago. Now we are heading to specialist for answers. Wish I would’ve done more research on Manx syndrome.
I have been googling and trying to research what kind of cures they have for his issue. I think I remember reading someone had surgery and it didn’t work. That is my biggest fear because we have no money to do this right now. He is only 6 and otherwise healthy.
I have a 6 yr old Manx and we have an appt with specialist about his incontinence. His last two vertebrae are impinging on his nerves to his bladder and he wets wherever he rests. My question is will the diapers work for tailless kitties.
I heard that they don’t react well to it at first. Is it scary? I hate to see him lethargic or laying around like a zombie! When he first had his uti I gave him a half of a pain pill that they prescribed and he just looked at me like he was scared! And was lost. Is that weird?
So update from my vet. They want me to put him on a kitty Prozac???? Our family are not pill takers and I hate to think of putting that stuff into his sweet little body. What do you think guys?????
He won’t eat treats! I know weird. I adopted a total basket case. But he is by far the most loving cat I have ever had. He doesn’t pee in litterbox at all.
The vet visits are a financial hardship for me. I know I’m going to take him back for another check but I hope they don’t want to keep him and run tests. He is otherwise healthy. Playful, happy, purrs, eating, affectionate, pooping in litter box, and wants to cuddle but I don’t want pee on me.
