Yeah, we’ve heard it both ways from vets and others. The rescue lady said we need it, some friends have said no, but two vets have recommended two different things. One wanted to put her on an anti-flea/tick because they say you can bring them in on your person, even if the cat never goes...
I will say we’ve already had to take her to the vet once, and they want us to get on this monthly flea/tick/worm preventative. If we had to double it, it would definitely be tough.
Hey guys,
We recently adopted a kitten from a rescue (just a few days ago). I could have posted this question in that same thread, where I was asking other questions (one kitten vs. two) but I didn't want to muddy the original intent of the thread.
Our kitten (13-14wks) is still getting used...
Yeah, we were a little concerned that she's so skinny, but the vet apparently wasn't worried about it, and she IS eating, so I dunno. She must have a great metabolism. Just one of the many things she and I do not share in common.
Yeah, she hid for about 4hrs yesterday, and ever since she has been hellacurious. She even ventured about three steps into the dining room today . . . and then hurried right back into the living room.
This hasn’t happened again since we brought her home for good, but it was fun while it lasted.
Checking out the neighborhood squirrels.
“I’m ready for my close up.”
“On second thought, perhaps a nap sounds good.”
She likes to color. Her favorite color? Purrrrrple, of course.
It’s already gotten a bit better, thanks. About 4hrs in. She’s not frantically trying to hide anymore. But I’m not about to jump to conclusions and say, “problem solved,” but I hope it continues to improve.
We intended to set up her “base camp” in the dining room, which is a wood floor room...
Erin offered to let us keep both for the weekend, but honestly the thought of the two of them was just too overwhelming, knowing nothing about cats and never having had one. And I think it was the right decision. We set out looking for one, and I think found the right one. Now if you'll...
Thank you for all of the well-wishes, everyone, and for the advice along the way. We had Dorothy and her brother (Tin Man) over for about 2 1/2 hours this afternoon. We just weren't feeling it with Tin Man, for lack of a better way of describing it. Dorothy just felt right. And neither...
