She used the restroom after 25 hours and had over a foot of poop! I think she was backed up. I went ahead and gave her some pyrantel after I found out she had fleas. I’m also giving her as much canned kitten food as she wants. When I picked her up, she had water and some crappy store brand food...
Does this look abnormal to anyone? It’s not hard and he doesn’t appear to be in pain, at first I thought it was a full bladder.
I was finally able to get him to pee using a wet piece of toilet paper.
I saw fleas too when I was helping the black one, so I gave mom some revolution and they all...
Thanks for your kind words. Last year was my first year fostering and I had my hands full will poo problems. I was hoping this year would be a little smoother. Everyone seems happy and content though, so maybe I’m just being a worry wart.
Hi everyone. I picked up a momma and 6 kittens last night. The mom was a skittish stray someone trapped from their workplace. I got them when they were 2 days old. They all look healthy and seem to be constantly nursing. Mom looks healthy and purrs and makes biscuits. The only thing is I haven’t...
I'm feeding them EZComplete which is indicated as all life stages. They eat so much. 3 lbs of chicken only lasts me 2 feedings.
EZComplete Fur Cats - 130 Servings
So far so good. 3 out of 4 have firm poops as does Stella. I haven’t been able to catch the diarrhea one, but it clumps in one piece, so it’s firmer than in the past.
I’m going to call the vet today and get Albon for Eliza and her 7 kittens.
I also switched them to raw food. During my time...
Okay, today went much smoother. I used 4 1cc syringes instead of a 3 and 6 cc syringe, so I wouldn't have to worry about the amount given. They also are easier to fit down their mouths. I also had a syringe with a water chaser.
Each kitten and Stella were purrito'd which helped a lot too.
Thanks
I read up on some dosing tips, hopefully tomorrow goes smoother. Eliza and her 7 decided to have diarrhea now too. After they've been separated.
It's so strange since they've been tested for most things already. Two of them have mild colds (no nasal or eye discharge) the vet didn't think needed...
OMG, I tried to give them their first dose today. 3.5ml for Stella and 1ml for babies. All 5 of them acted like I was poisoning them and started foaming at the mouth. I'm not sure how well this is gonna work for two weeks. I'm guessing they got at most half in and spit out half :bawling2:
Since I feed them 3 oz cans, should I put 3 tsp per can?
Stella and Co. I feed about 4 times a day, total 8-10 cans. Should I put in 1tsp in each can?
Thanks
I haven't tried the pumpkin yet. I have started alternatively using S. Boulardii (morning) and probiotics (evening) for the last two days.
I want to get Eliza and Co. switched to less exotic food, so when they are adopted, they'll be more adapted to what they will most likely eat in their new...
Stella in a 24 hour period will have both 100% liquid stool and firm stools. She isn't leaking anymore and doesn't have accidents. She probably goes 5 or 6 times a day, but it's hard to tell since they were combined. It'll be easier to tell now. The "firm" stools are closer to a stiff...
