I had a pure white cat that had horrible skin sensitivity, I used to make chamomile tea (large pot) and keep it in the fridge. When she got itchy I would soak a wash cloth and apply it to her. Always worked.

It's too bad I can't remember the episode of "my cat from hell" but it was similar to your problem where the 2 cats got along and snuggled but when the other cat came around the one cat would just fight her sister. I wish I could offer you better advise but I think you need to bring them back...
