Thanks everyone. Her nose feels more wet now. I am still watching the incision site....hopefully, it will heal more soon. Yes, good idea to have it checked if it doesn't improve soon.

My cat had a lump removed, thankfully benign, 17 days ago. Because the lump was in an area where her upper front leg covers part of the incision, it apparently took longer to heal. So I just took the collar off yesterday. She still has a small pink spot that I hope will heal very soon. But...

Another thing...try not to stare at him or get in his space too closely as he might feel more intimidated. Instead go about what you are doing, let Bob stroll around, and I think Bob will then warm up to you. Especially when he sees your other cats responding to you without fear.

I also wonder if his tail is causing pain or not. If it is not painful, as others suggested, maybe you can hold off on the amputation. I don't know which State you live in, but here in Los Angeles, there is Sam Simon Foundation. They not only do free spay and neuter, but they do some types...
