    First toy they've growled over!

they're all sooo cute! your "furkids" look completely happy with those toys. maybe they growl and like them so much 'cause the toys are furry, but small enough that they can feel like the toys are a prey that they can dominate.

    Not a problem, just curious.

your cats may just want to be closer to you, so to speak, so they steal 'pieces of you' and put it near their area, i.e. their food. to cats, food is a big deal, a necessity. having collections of you around that area could mean they feel they're not getting enough of you, or just showing their...

    excessive meowing

separation anxiety? have you had your kitty for the full 1.5 years? are you or your husband sick? sometimes when people get sick, and cats can always tell, they take it very, very hard.

    Destructive Kitty

if the kitties are young, they're just packed with energy. trying adding some toys that they can get they're kitty aggression out on. stuffed animals work well. for example, next time you find your cat attacking something, replace it with a stuffed animal. play with them and the stuffed animal...

    Scratching/digging around food bowl

is your cat feral? it occurs moreso, i find, in feral cats or cats from a feral background. cats also do it to "preserve". like, an incoming kitty might make your main coon feel threatened so he tries to "bury" the food to preserve it for later, or a late night snack. completely normal.

    asthma attack?

have you tried changing some things around the house to help the asthma? (vaccuming more often, brushing her more, using nondusty litter, etc.)

Giving my cat oral med.-dosen't want it!!!!

Some medicines are good to follow with water so the taste lingers in their mouth less. But, I think you should use a syrine, definitely. Buy a new one if the one you have broke. I like arlyn's idea. Another is to use a blanket: put it our your cat and open her mouth with one hand, and syrine...

    Hiya !!!

It depends on where you have your cat fixed. Vets tend to be more costly than nonprofits. Look around your area, like in yellow pages or do a google search.

    Odd, aren't they?

That's so cute-- Arlyn, yayi, and Lemur 6. Don't you love cats for their quirks like that?

    My cat licks window blinds???

I have a cat that licks fabric. She'll be cleaning and her tongue will wonder off and then she'll be licking the couch/bedsheets/carpet... She also licks windows, almost fanatically. No idea why. Are your blinds dusty? It's gross, but maybe your cat likes licking dust? Or maybe your cat...

    Kittens VS cats

I don't think there is a right answer for any of the questions you posed. I've had my two cats since they were kittens, and both are very affectionate. Granted, I think the fact that I was a kid when we got them and wouldn't leave them alone (raise your hand if you dressed up your kitten when...

    Cat vocalization questions

She is. As for the sounds she makes, cat's meows vary greatly. Definitely. I've heard some very odd meows. She may just have her own sound. If you're concerned a vet could assure you that it's not a sore throat or any similar sickness. Most likely, you just got a unique-sounding kitty...

    Dog sized Frontline?

I have two cats and a tight budget. A while ago we had a a vet come to the house (we only do housecall vets) and she suggested getting the dog Frontline and giving cat-sized doses to our cats. It works well, and spreads out far. Does anyone else do this?

    I CANNOT believe this..

First, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I've never gotten over any of my cat losses-- especially with pictures. It may be your Lulu. It may not. Either way, why not put some food out. I think it's somewhat unreasonable to assume anything, since it has been two years, and there's no way to...

Parental Units are Driving me Crazy

Why is the litterbox so stinky? I mean, I know some cats have foul smells coming out of them, but do you clean it often? Some cats need it cleaned daily. Also, where is it? I keep my cat's (two) in the "office", so only that room smells like cats. Not sure about your arrangements... I'm...
