I had a water fountain (several actually) and the thing was the biggest pain the rear to clean (and it needs constant cleaning). Now I use a pot, it's a lot easier to clean and fill every day or so...

I think it's pretty pointless. There's a pretty big supply of racoons out there, and they are perfectly capabale of surviving and multiplying in semi-urban environments. As soon as the ones you TNR (or kill, or trap and remove, or whatever) die off more will move in, they aren't being driven...
