    Thanks so much and Ive just got one question…sorry! I’ve just spoken to the nurse on reception and told her I want Teddy’s abdomen draining ASAP, she said yes of course, but wanted me to know that the vet had said if they do drain him it will more than likely fill straight back up with fluid...

    (Oh P.S…..they are not my usual vets, these act as the cities emergency vet on weekends, and as Ted got poorly on a weekend, he went there….unfortunately)

    Thank you so much for your reply! I just don’t understand any of it, and youve just said exactly what my parents said, they too told me to get him to a different vet in the morning and get the fluid drained pronto! And yes, the vets completely ruled out FIP…it was negative. I get the feeling...

    Hello again Fionasmom, the vet rang with the results from the sample of the fluid and unknown massses and they, once again were inconclusive, she said she’s consulted her colleagues and they can’t think of anything else it could be but cancer, I’m devastated, and I’ve paid £1700+ in vet bills...

    Thank you so much for your reply FeebysOwner, and for the food tip too! That’s great. He is actually eating/drinking/toileting fine, which surprised me. I did ask about his fluid, if it could be drained, he looks so uncomfortable, but the vets reply was ‘we don’t quite know where the fluid is...

    Thank you so much for the reply and kind words FionasMum, really is appreciated. He’s eating and drinking lots, he’s also toileting fine and managed a little play with his toy fish too. He’s laying on our bed with a fan on him like a lord. Im sure it was an ultrasound they did and discover these...

    Hello lovely cat people, going out of my mind with worry here. Our beloved Teddy, a 2.5 yr old male, neutered, moggie from cats protection developed an extremely swollen abdomen over the weekend and we rushed him to an emergency vets, he had a high temperature (40) but no remarkable blood...
