    Home made cat trees?

    Mine love it when we sprinkle catnip around it. Also, I leave a screw head exposed at the top so I can attach dangling cat toys (ones on elastic string, so they don't get hung up in it). I've made several scratching posts, but nothing so elaborate as yours!

    Harness or Collar?

    I think the breakaway collar is the only way to go if cat is going outside alone. On a leash, I much prefer the harness - it is much more secure. Others may know of other options, but I would be afraid your cat would get hung or trapped in the harness.
