Where do you live? Purina has a series of grain free tinned cat food, which my cats love, and which I've picked up as emergency supplies from the supermarket when we've run low on catfood.
Hello Catsite folks,
While my babies have been grain free for most of their life and most of their diet I've recently transferred them to a non grain free kibble that they love and enjoy (Meals for Meows, kangaroo and turkey). In bulk, it's a little bit cheaper than what they've been eating...
Thank you for that. :) Our boy managed to get stage 1 gingivitis earlier this year, even with conscious efforts to feed them giblets, so we are trying multiple tactics to avoid that for next year!
They eat weruva twice a day--and chicken gizzards, at least twice a week. They graze on 1/3 cup...
Thank you! We do brush their teeth (irregularly, though we're working on that). It's just a matter of living with the undying rage and betrayal after the fact...
I would love to feed my cats chicken necks and giblets for their dental health, but the sad truth is, for whatever reason, I can't depend on them to eat them reliably and so we've gone with Hills Dental Prescription diet to help with their teeth.
We've also seen Royal Hills Oral Care and Hills...
Our two do best on variety---Howl gets very excited when he gets to try something delicious and new. There's an uptick in enthusiasm finishing their meals when we switch flavours out.
So we tend to have at least two flavours of catfood in stock. For dry, we stick with Black Hawk Grain Free...
Hi Mani, thank you! Petbarn was how I found out about the rebranding, actually. Several options showed up as being out of stock in my postcode when I applied them to my cart. I called Petbarn: their customer service rep told me about the rebranding and that there was a shortage as a result...
Oh lol lol lol. Our babies haven't reached that stage yet, thankfully! Thank you for recommending Tiki Cats. May I ask where you get it? It doesn't seem to be in the big pet stores near us (Pet Stock, Pet Barn, Habitat)
Tuxedo babies are wonderful. <3 <3 Thank you!
Hey everyone. We've been feeding our furkids Cats in the Kitchen but they are apparently undergoing a rebranding at the moment which means there's a shortage of it.
I live in Australia. Can folks recommend a grain-free canned food which doesn't cost the earth to tide the furbabies over? At the...
I know! There is so much conflicting advice, which is why I’m happy to get the diverse experience and expertise of all of the lovely cat people on this site and what they’ve found works best for them and their fur kids. Hopefully after the boy has had his teeth cleaned, we can get him back on...
Thank you! Yes, the vet has explained as much. :( Hopefully, we’ll find something that works for the boy, even if that does end up meaning a yearly vet trip to get his teeth cleaned.
Thank you. I would love to feed our boy chicken necks, but at some point, he went off of them and we couldn’t understand why. He may have started having trouble with his teeth—we’re planning to try necks and wings again, once his teeth have been cleaned.
Out of curiosity, how often do you feed...
This is probably something that straddles the cat health and nutrition forums.
Basically, in spite of our best efforts, our otherwise healthy one year old has been diagnosed with stage 1 gingivitis. (His sister, perplexingly, is the picture of dental health).
We’re getting that sorted ASAP...
My gorgeous, food-oriented one year old has inexplicably decided he will have nothing to do with the raw chicken necks he used to adore.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the meat, because his sister will happily eat her portion, and his too! His appetite is great otherwise and I've...
