You know, now reading this makes me nervous! My kitty started with coughing - wet non productive cough - (I have a post titled "URI?" that I put a video of his coughing if you want to see what the problem was) the beginning of November, he was then put on Amoxicillin drops November 15th...
No offense, but if you are so worried, you could push back her spay for another couple weeks to make sure she is the correct age for the rabies. And keeping her calm afterwards, you could always give her a room of her own so she doesnt have the opportunity to run around and hurt herself.
Well that is reassuring! My other cat Diesel has Hypercalcemia and is on Pred daily (making his immune system not 100%) and I dont want Diesel to get sick if it's something that can be passed between them. Hopefully this med does the trick!!
They way you are describing it, still sounds like anal glands. If she is leaving spots of brown liquid that smells, she may not be completely getting emptied or she just fills back up REAL fast. What kind of food is she on? You could try something that has more fiber in it I believe. I know...
Ok, just picked up the new meds for Nick. Azithromycin is what he has now. Im supposed to let them know if there is no improvement in 5 days. Has anyone had experience with this drug? Thanks!
Here is a video of my cat Nick doing his "coughing" episode. Once again, this has not gotten better with being on the Amoxicillin drops and he now is sneezing with white discharge coming from his nose.
I know it may be pricey as well but has your vet ever offered an ultrasound? That may give some indications for the vomiting. Hope Manny gets better soon!
My cat has been having some "coughing" like episodes since the beginning of the month. Initially I just took a video and showed it to the vet and she thought it was all in his head because she said his lungs sounded fine and by watching the video she said it didn't sound like a hairball because...
Could he possibly be becoming incontinent because of his age? I know dogs can get that way but I have never had an elderly cat. But yes, I think bloodwork is a smart choice and a good place to start. Please keep us updated. I hope Meisha is well.
Have the checked under her tongue to make sure she doesn't have anything stuck? Maybe she does have some sort of allergy. My vet also mentioned that about any new cleaners or detergents. I hope your kitty stops coughing!
My kitty has had some similar symptoms. We adopted a 6 month old kitten 10/7/12. Had not noticed any coughing until 11/1/12. My other cat has never had a hairball so at first I thought it was a hairball but there was no abdominal movement with it. It was a non productive wet cough (or so I...
**UPDATE**
Diesel went for another recheck 11/7/12. He is up to 10.8 lbs, which Im very pleased with! His calcium has also maintained at 10. So the plan is to recheck him in 1 month (he has his next appt. December 5th) and check his calcium again. The dr decreased his Prednisolone dose to...
