I have 4 cats and the problems are with the 2 neutered males! The 2 girls are great and easy to get along with. The 2 "Guys" are forever trying to fight and do carry on.

Iluvcandy, you are correct in that they take a culture and depending on the bacteria, prescribe the best antibiotic for it. I don't understand this prolonged problem either.

Thanks for your response but I'm afraid that this site may become like another that was vicious and hate filled. That's the reason I came here and it seems like this one is headed in that direction. I have decided not to enter IMO again, however, why have this section in a cat web site?

Why have IMO in a cat web site anyway.? Let's stick to cats and avoid world situations. There's enough strife without adding more to a cat web site. People can always read/watch the news to get upset. Why not discontinue IMO. What do people think about this idea? IMO end it.

Is Samwise the cat that gets bathed in "gook" or "gunk" or "goop" or something like that? I wonder if that may have caused his sore? What do you think, If I have the right cat.

I agree with the above. The correct antibiotic should do the trick. Maybe consult another vet.

Hissy, thanks for the answer. I'm still amazed at our feline friends and want more info. Think I'll check out a cat book at the library. How painful for them.

UTIs can be stress related.? That's got to be in cats only. The "I" in it stands for infection which is caused by bacteria and treated with antibiotics. Where can I get more info on this and is everyone certain of this? How can stress cause a bacterial infection?

I agree with reporting the person you suspect and get any neighbors who agree with you to go along with the report. Keep all animals inside also.

Do you still use Nature's Variety? If so, any problems?
