I feel your pain! Toothless likes to sleep between us, Cinder at my feet, and Gram either on the other side of me or on my pillow. I'm claustrophobic so the pillow would be preferable, except he randomly decides to aggressively groom my head in the middle of the night.

My mom made cut out cookies and caramel corn, and my grandma always made German Peppernuts (Pfeffernusse). Those were always the highlight of the season for us. Over the 30 years we've been married our traditional cookies are cut-outs, rum bars, tea cookies (aka snowballs)...

We do Christmas brunch with my parents: a crock pot breakfast casserole with hash browns, sausage, cheese and eggs, fresh fruit, juice, wine, coffee, and Christmas cookies. My parents always bring fruit cake and German stollen. The casserole takes 4 hours to cook in the crock pot but our kids...
Freeze dried treats crumbled over food worked for our picky eaters. Other things I've heard work for some cats (but not ours) include Forti flora, Parmesan cheese, crumbled dry food, & tuna juice.
I wrap as I go. I have an app that helps me keep track of gifts: what I buy, where I buy it, how much it was, who it's for, where in the house it's stashed, and status: ordered/delivered/wrapped/given. The app is Santa's Bag, if anyone's interested. :)
I was in plays in elementary and high school, but not since. My hubby and 2 of our sons have been in community theater productions for the past several years. I've helped sew costumes, usher, etc, but don't have the urge to be on stage again.
