Happy Monday again. We finished work quickly today for school so we can enjoy another day with my dad. Now he’s taking my kids to toss a football and play in a stream so I’m sitting in the quiet for a minute.

DH was looking at the sheets of laundry detergent they have out online. He’s been trying to figure out keeping the static down on his new work shirts. I think they are polyester and supposedly moisture wicking. He washes his own stuff for work so I haven’t looked.

What kind of laundry detergent do you use?

I started using All Free & Clear liquid when DD had eczema when she was a little baby. DS was a little sensitive too. Now that they are older I still use that but also Downy Free fabric softener. Soft and static free clothing was an unaffordable luxury when I was growing up so I do enjoy the difference in our towels and things! I tend to use less than suggested.

I do prefer the liquid detergent to the pods because I can adjust for the load size. We did use powdered at one point but not in many years. I try to keep our septic system in mind too. I’m not ready to jump on the vinegar and baking soda trend though.

I use bold 2 in 1. It has lenor in it. I use whatever is on offer when I'm buying it so might be powder or liquid.

Wisk was bought by the company that makes Persil. I occasionally use Persil but I usually use Tide.

I use the Tide original scent pods and Lysol laundry sanitizer. I haven't used fabric softener, either the liquid or sheets in years. I kept reading different reasons why liquid fabric softener shouldn't be used. I don't put sweaters in the dryer anyway and I don't have issues with static in anything that I put in the dryer so I don't use the sheets anymore.

I started using the sanitizer during the pandemic and I liked it so I continue to use it. I used to very occasionally have issues with lingering odor in clothes that I had sweat in. The sanitizer stopped that without adding scent to the laundry

Dropps are good, I like Ecover, and now they have this new kind where you just rip off a flat strip 5”x2” and fling it in, it’s great, b/c of the non plastic cardboard packaging (about the size of a small manilla envelope). Here’s a photo. More space to fold your laundry as well, and MUCH easier to recycle. That piece on the left is two strips, or, two whole washes.

I do have Persil too. My friends husband is a welder so his work clothes are gross! That was her recommendation to try. I use a little OxyClean Odor powder in most loads because….puberty! :rolleyes2: That worked better than Persil but I do like the Persil also. Back when we had formula spitup rags OxyClean was necessary.

Ive read some mixed reviews today about the sheet detergents. DH’s work clothes are also pretty gross in the summer with heat and sunscreen. But hey he can try!

Arm and Hammer Free and Clear liquid. At some point in past I developed rashes from my laundry detergent so I have been using this one for years because I am too chicken to try anything else.

Might have to try that just to know what a moonlit breeze smells like! I suppose it depends on where you live!

I have used liquid era with oxi boost for many years, and I use downy calm scent fabric softener sheets. Both do a great job for me,and I have a front loader. My neighbor has started using the earth breeze sheets and she just loves them.I see now that arm and hammer has come out with sheets as well, but I haven't tried any of it as of yet.

DH and I used that one for years before our kids came along. It was one of the few my MIL’s skin could tolerate.
