I never admitted to either of these dream professions: but when I was very young, and always doing things wrong, I dreamed of being Mary, the mother of baby Jesus. (I must have been very young to believe that that was a possibility!)
Later, at school, learning about the lumberjacks in Canada, I wanted to be THE FIRST WOMAN LUMBERJACK! Rather different to my telling the teacher, I wanted to be a nurse. She said I would make a very good nurse - little did she know what I was really like!
I always wanted to go into animal conservation, help preserve rare species n such. I was convinced by my family that it wasn't much of a financially stable career path, so I went into science through alternate routes, instead lmao. Not that it's much more stable
Oh man, there were so many things I wanted to be that I don't even know what to answer with. Vet, writer, archaeologist, and oddly a maid were the ones I remember most prominently. I still hope of being a published writer someday. I learned as an adult that while I probably would have been a good vet, I don't think I could have handled the emotionality of the job and working with sick and dying animals.
Very early on, a veterinarian. Middle school was a wildlife photographer. I went to high school and college intending to go into occupational therapy, but that never quite worked out.
