The cats made me smile when coming home today. Persia walked up to Isabelle and put her face in front of Isabelle's, like she was asking to be groomed, and Isabelle licked the top of her head. When Isabelle was done and turned her head to look at something, Persia tried to lean in and lick Isabelle's face, but got whacked because Isabelle wasn't having it.

Then Katrina walked by Isabelle a few minutes later and walked as close as possible, looking like Katrina was almost leaning into Isabelle a little, letting her body brush up against Isabelle. The kittens are so persistent and patient with Isabelle's grouchiness. It makes me smile knowing they still work to build a friendship with Isabelle. <3

neely neely You always seem to hook up with old friends, that's nice,
LOL, I'm a very sociable person. Also I try to be a loyal friend and as a result have made many friendships over the years.

My positive is that I had a difficult time waking up early to work out at the gym especially since it was damp and dreary out. But by the time I left I felt so much better. 🏋️‍♀️

A couple of weeks ago I hit a pothole then noticed one of my tires had a bulge that I had never seen before. I received an email reminder for a tire rotation and inspection from the store where I bought all new ones last January. I figured since it was free, I'd see if the tire people could tell me if something was wrong. It turns out, the tire with the bulge needed to be replaced. This would have been bad news, but when I bought the tires, I was talked into extra coverage, so I didn't have to pay for the replacement tire! This was the first time where having extra coverage on something actually worked in my favor. I used to buy extended warranties on my new computers, but then something would happen to my computer like two weeks after the warranty expired, so I'm glad that this time things worked out for me.

Apparently I now have deer! The mom and daughter pair that spent the whole morning sleeping behind my hedge last week are back napping in the same place this morning. I might need to put some food out there for them.
You are lucky. I wish I had deer. They are such beautiful animals. If you want to feed them you could buy those big bags of corn that the hunters use. I don't know how much they cost but I know they are heavy.

This is like the woodpecker I saw in my tree on Tuesday, He's a Downey woodpecker. The one I saw had a red beak, sooo adorable.
I'm used to seeing Cardinals and Blue Jays because they don't migrate. I've noticed them drinking the water from the big bowl on the deck I hope the wp sticks around.

I'm enjoying the Italian sausage I go this week, Sherry cooked all of it and I'm been having sandwiches.
We have a new gelato shoppe only 3 blocks from me!!! They open at 1:00 pm and I plan on going today.
Oink, Oink ha!!!

My mom also loves Italian sausage and one of the things I pick up for her are bags of Johnsonville precooked Italian sausage pieces. All they need is a quick microwave and they are ready to eat.

That sounds delicious, I'm sure you'll enjoy it so please let us know what flavor you order.

I'm taking the day off because, well just because, although it's bitter cold I don't mind since the sun is shining which is a positive for me in winter. :sunshine:I'm sure there will be a coffee stop somewhere in my day.;)

My boss was taking some visitors around for a tour yesterday. She introduced me to the visitors and told them what I do and that I'm awesome at my job. I was flattered 🤗 It's nice for bosses to show genuine appreciation for their staff and make it known. My boss at the last job would have done the same.

The deer are back again this morning and sleeping in their same spots under the pine trees. They seem to leave in early afternoon and return some time during the night.
How neat! This reminded me of a couple summers ago when I was staying at a dorm for my summer job. There were deer all over campus, and it was a joke with the students. When heading to a classroom for a meeting, there was a baby deer just outside one of the windows under a tree by the main entrance to the building. It was so cute!

Congrats! Being recognized feels so good!

My positive is I found a new youtube singer (and he is sooooooooo CUTE!!!). I should be continuing to write cover letters for grad school instead of swooning over him, haha..... but I DID start a cover letter before going into work for training today... so that's another positive for the day! Sometimes I just have to get started, which is what I did this morning. Go me!

Well it must have been too cold to wander far. My deer left around 11:00 am but now they are back and appear to be bedded down for the night. I may try to move my video cam so I can see if during the night they come up to the house for water from the heated bird bath.
They love apples. My in-laws had a family that came often. Mom, dad,son and 2 daughters. They had about 8 apple trees in
a row and they loved them. My father-in-law had a salt lick for them.

It's cold today, in the 20s but I must make it to Dolce at the Srand, the gelato shoppe. Cal s sleeping beside me as usual,
making her adorable sounds.💖

I played chicken with the snowstorm and won. I had a return and few errands at the shopping center about eight miles from home that really could wait but would have me thinking about them for the next few days. So I kept an eye on radar weather reports and took the risk I could get them all done before the snow started. Not a flake while I was out but heavy snow was falling within five minutes of my arrival home.
