I hope I'm not jinxing myself by saying this, but it's actually starting to feel a little cooler here. It was only 27C today and not as humid as it has been for the past few months. Maybe that sweltering summer is almost over?



What do you like most about the cooler months?

I like being able to enjoy coffee again. I drink coffee all year round, but it always tastes better in the autumn. It's nice to be able to enjoy a hot drink without breaking into a sweat too.

Another thing I like is that it will soon be the end of mosquito season. I keep a tally of how many times I'm bitten versus how many mosquitoes I manage to swat. Maybe I'll finish ahead this summer.

There's not much I like about colder weather on it's way. All it means is that the really cold weather is coming fast right behind it! Living in Northern Ontario, Canada, our winter's start as early as October and can sometimes linger until April. This past winter we still had snow on the ground into the second week of May and most years parents make sure their kids Halloween costumes can fit a snow suit under it because of how cold it can be walking the streets!
As for bugs, I'll give you that one, but here they tend to start disappearing end of July, so we do get good weather without mosquitoes for a bit before Fall starts.

Heat makes me lethargic, so I love the energy boost cooler weather brings. Cooler weather also means more "pocket space". I normally have my pockets stuffed with tissues, keys, a pen, dog treats, "doggy doo-doo bags", etc., so being able to wear a jacket gives me more room for that sort of stuff.

Sleeping under thick blankets. Reminds me of my time in the womb before life got hectic. It's like, inside (under) the womb (blankets), it's so warm and cozy. And the world outside is cold and scary. That and the warm drinks. I love actually being cold and feeling the warm hot chocolate/tea travel down my esophagus and into my stomach. I love that I don't have to deal with those blood sucking insects (seriously need a blood clense after this summers fiasco). I love how the days are shorter so I feel like I have to go to bed earlier (referring back to the womb/blanket point I made). I'm sure there is a lot more but I'll stop now...

I like October because here in NE Ohio we have more direct sunlight and less humidity than any other time of year; sometimes it's like that in November. I like it when the bugs disappear. I look forward to sitting on the deck with my girls savoring that first cup of hot cocoa of the season (with lots of whipped cream).
I like not wearing thin cotton pj bottoms while reading on the deck. I love my warm cozy socks. Nicole bought me a pair of Bombas and they are soooo comfortable I wish I could afford more. I love the foliage. I love my b.i.l's chili and New England clam chowder.

Socks, blue jeans, fuzzy warm throws, slippers and better stuff on TV. I like that “get ready” feeling where you need to get things done because bad weather is coming. I love the colors and crispness of fall air and stopping to pick off the last of the fall raspberries as I mow leaves. And I love fall cooking and baking to restock the freezer that has been emptied in the summer when I didn’t want to cook.

Another vote for cooler temps and coffee! I love the autumn and wish it would last longer since it's my favorite season. I like turning off the a/c and opening the windows to get fresh air. It's also apple picking time which is a plus.

I like being outdoors in comfortable temps. It's so much nicer to go for a walk and enjoy fresh air and nature! Especially once the bug levels start dying back after a frost or two.

I love that it's cooler. I can go outside and not feel like I'm dying. I also like that I can go for walks and not come home caked in sweat and grossness.

I refer to cooler weather (fall and spring) as cheap livin' weather. The heat isn't running and neither is the A/C. I love those lower electric bills.

Same here. Our cooler weather is a relatively short amount of time but I can shut off the AC for a while.

Lying in bed with my electric blanket on reading a good book and having the cats cuddled up with me, they dont sleep on my bed in the warmer weather.

I've been to Tampa to visit a friend and liked how it was warm and humid pretty much every day, but I wasn't so keen on all the bugs though.
