Get some vetinoquinol pill wrap from amazon- 2 day shipping & wrap the pill in it.
Ur cat may like that flavor and eat the pill.
Or stick it to the back of a treat.
Also try greenies pill pockets

Ok
The cat isn’t taking the antibiotics
I got a pill giver thing
No luck called vet
Liquid antibiotics on order
I closed the closet door so it would be easier to catch him
He peed right in front of the door
I had to throw out a heating pad and cover
He doesn’t want anything to do with me since giving him pills
His diarrhea is gone thanks to some of the pill that gets down
It’s Memorial Day weekend
I’m going to call the shelter to see if I cannot exchange him for another cat
I have him away from the $1400 floor I just replaced
Idk I’m at the end of the road
They could tip his ear and set him free is what I suggest

Its like a dough and i hide the pill in it and stuck it to a treat because Louie wont eat greenies, maybe your cat will. Petco might have this or other pill masking dough.

alright I have decided to keep him. He stopped hissing at me. He began to notice I am trying to help him.
He has began to be cooperative when I give him the pills with the pill inserter thing from the vet.
My can't loves greenies! The vet will get me the liquid it's on order to be safe, I'll start with those antibiotics as well.
He's peeing out of his box twice. I think that is stopped. Today I switched the resident cat and the new cat's territory. The resident cat is so UNHAPPY about the new cat. I hope she will warm up to him eventually.
Yesterday, he decided to sit in my lap and purr for 20 minutes I was trying to yoga. Yeah, know right? LOL.

So I feel dumb, and guilty for letting these cats get into a fight. My poor Luna got beat up. My cats got into a big fight. My cat has a claw entry next to her eye lid. It was bleeding, I put quick clot the animal version. It numbed, stopped the bleeding, and stoped infection from getting in. I'm concerned. So, yes I began using eye drop antibiotics 2-3 times a day. I put in systene eye lubricant 2 times a day, especially at night. I'm considering giving her oral antibiotics because the eye is swollen. There is no more blood, there was never any abnormal drainage, other than her tear stains. She is her lovable self, and is guarding that eye. It happened yesterday. Really, I don't have money to keep going to the vet. SO I REALLY HAVE TO KEEP THEM SEPARATED! The vet thinks the flagly is going to be used for Tiger, except I think Luna may need it more. I don't know what to do. I may have to find Tiger a home (only cat) situation if this continues. Every time I open the door, they are at each other. I have to pick one up or distract the other.

I would not give tigers antibiotic to Luna
Antibiotics are specific to the type and location of infection
Flagyl is metronidazole , its used for GI and stomach bugs, not necessarily the eye.

Because you got a new cat, I would suspect coccidia.
They dis a stool sample day bunch of stuff
Then gave me paste to feed them
If the diarrhea persisted they gave me an antibiotic
Idk what it was I said giardia it wasn’t

Thanks for following this and the awesome support you have given me!!
Luna is going to be fine!! She still guards that eye.

Re Luna's eye, Tractor Supply Company and similar farm stores sell terramycin eye ointment OTC for around $10, if you think she may need it. It may be a "behind the counter" type item, but it is OTC, usually by the rabbit stuff.

Re the diarrhea, I added two feral kittens to my group last fall and they got diarrhea (sometimes bloody) and poor appetite, then got better, then got it again...over and over despite testing negative for *everything*, and having been treated by two vets with various anti-parasitics (including Panacur) and Fortiflora. The last time I brought them in for it (this past winter) the vet was kind of out of ideas and said to try more "conventional" food for their dry meal (i.e. grocery store food...they were on Fancy Feast pate and American Journey grain free dry) because higher end dry foods have lots of "weird ingredients". True, but none of them weirder than corn and soy, so no. ANYWAY, I was sort of left with no answers and did some research myself. I ended up trying a couple of different probiotics plus digestive enzymes.

The thing that ultimately worked and has cleared them of recurrences for months now was a combination of NaturVet Digestive Enzymes Plus Pre & Probiotic (1/4 tsp per meal), Jarrow Saccharomyces Boulardii + MOS (1/2 capsule per meal), and slippery elm powder (1/4 tsp mixed with a little water then added to each meal). Within a week of this routine, we were all good, and the problem has not returned.

Truthfully, they may have only needed one of those three things, but I gave them all together in my desperation to help my kitties (plus these are all things that are totally safe in their correct dosages), so I don't know that for sure.

Thanks so much for commenting!!! Luna had left over cipro drops this week. It’s her first day not on drops. I put ointment to moisturize her eye, and she made it swollen as she got it out. I have left over neomycin and polymycin b sulfates and gramicdin eye drops. I want to give it till tomorrow morning to see if she needs them. The last thing I want is a one eyed cat, she has a high probability of going blind later due to her blue eyes. Sometimes I feel like she is squinting with that eye. She has tear stains as well. I don’t know what to say. I’ll keep everyone posted.
I asked the vet about your concoction. I feed taste of the wild wet and dry food. Is that ok??

Yes, I feed one dry meal (American Journey grain free duck) and one wet meal and it works with both. To make it a little easier, you can actually put all three in the water (just a Tablespoon or two is all you really need) and mix it up. The slippery elm sort of gels up similar to what Metamucil does, and then I'd just pour it over the wet or dry food. With the dry it ends up being kind of like kibble with gravy, LOL. None of mine had any problem at all with eating it, but they are generally really good eaters. You can definitely use tuna water or chicken broth instead of plain water, if that helps. But if you have any problems getting them to eat the slurry, gently using a feeding syringe works well too.
