Haven't you ever used any sort of baby talk with your cat? Personally, I don't, but I do a lot of 'rhymey' kind of talk - does that count??? I think it might be more of a 'term of endearment' type of thing. I look at it as if we are actually assuming they would speak to us the way some of us speak to them - and they probably think we are idiots (including my rhymey talk to Feeby)!!!Page reminder : #40
I have to say that these are great, but as someone who's dyslexic, I'm having a hard time reading the "baby talk" ones. And is it just me, or does anyone else think that cats are way too intelligent to assume they would talk like that?
That actually originated, as near as I can tell, on a meme site, and is referred to as either "LOLspeak" or "Cheezespeek," depending on whether you are talking to the general public or an original member of the site. It's more for the cute of it. I can see why it would cause some issues with someone who has dyslexia, though.Page reminder : #40

I'm not dyslexic, but I'm still not overly fond of the "baby talk" or as Mamanyt1953 informed us, "LOLspeak" or "Cheezespeek"I have to say that these are great, but as someone who's dyslexic, I'm having a hard time reading the "baby talk" ones.
And, I agree, I doubt cats would talk like that. Or, as the pic upthread suggested, talk at all.And is it just me, or does anyone else think that cats are way too intelligent to assume they would talk like that?
