I didn’t see a question for today so might as well do it! :)

What’s your favorite dish at Thanksgiving? Mine is most of the meal so I guess I don’t have a favorite since I love it all.. but I always look forward to pumpkin pie!

I like dressing. Thanksgiving seems to be one of the only times I see it, and I look forward to it. :woo:

I don't always celebrate Thanksgiving but when I do my favorite is mac & cheese.

Honeybee on my lap, music playing in background
the stuffing in the bird that is on the outside and gets crispy then home made gravy drizzled on top of it. I LOVE stuffing..and try not to eat too much of it but man it tastes so good. We have to try wheat free diet this winter-I don't know what I will do without stuffing! I could eat it every day if it didn't stick to my hips.

Second place is the drum stick/thigh. Dark meat is so much better than white meat. Moist, flavorful and just so yummy.

third place- cold turkey sandwich on soft wheat bread and mayo.

the dish i always have looked forward to at Thanksgiving is (butternut) squash, that's been peeled/chopped, boiled and drained, then mashed with butter and salt/pepper......not sure if a very small amount of white sugar was added, quite possibly no sugar was added.

My brother makes that every year. He is a health nut and I'm sure he does not add salt and certainly not white sugar. Sugar is poison to him and his wife. I really don't care for it because it is so plain but I don't want to say anything to hurt his feelings. It is healthy if nothing else.

butternut squash has some natural sweetness to it, which is part of why i love it. :)

i have absolutely no problem with adding sugar and/or salt to things. i like both, and don't tend to add too much of either in the foods/meals i make.
