sorry, I could not play the video about the frozen kitten
Do you mean you had technical difficulties or that you didn't want to watch something about a kitten freezing to death?

If it's the former I can't help you. If it's the latter (as arouetta arouetta apparently thinks) then I can tell you that that's not what this video is about. It's about a family miraculously finding this white kitten in the snow and then putting in a lot of time and effort and hope until they managed to revive it and then adopt it. It's the kind of story that really belongs on TCS.

That's what I was afraid you meant. The only advice I can give for that is to make sure that Adobe Flash Player is up-to-date; it may help, shouldn't hurt.

I checked the URL of the video and it's a FaceBook address, so it may be a FB issue. And since I don't use FB I'm not qualified to troubleshoot that.

What?! Google has a lot to answer for is all I can say.

Meh. So the wrong police department got candy intended as a thank you. They still got candy, and most police officers deserve a sweet treat.

From what I can tell, Cats Planet (along with similar sites) bounce back and forth between videos that are "wow, this is funny" and "this horrible, tragic thing happened to this animal and now he lives happily ever after". Well the first half of these videos just punch me in the heart too bad. Especially now that my mental stability is questionable. It's why I barely go into the other forums now, seeing all the "This horrible thing is wrong with my cat" posts just hurts too much.

Agreed; I'm just concerned that you meant this as a "Thank you" and it wasn't delivered to the intended recipient. But if you're not worried about it then that's okay.

Now that's worrisome. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble and wish I could suggest something. :vibes: :alright: :hugs:

here's 2 hard sections of tarter on top back molars and it needs to be GONE. None of the other gums are red or anything-just those two spots.

Anyone have luck with kitty brushing teeth? Pumps didn't mind the qtip too much but didn't really like me poking in her mouth. Honeybee didn't care-I ran that qtip all over her upper gums=lifted the lip in front-didn't faze her.
Don't know if its true, but my vet said the only dental tools can get tartar off of molars once it is there. We brushed Carrot's teeth for two years and the tartar that was on when we got him never came off. They were able to remove it at his last dental.

Our cats get their teeth brushed often. They all are good about it. Our dog really enjoys it as well.

Looks like I'm gonna be up most of the night. Little man spent 2 and a half hours beating me up from the inside today. It's like he was trying to rip his way out and it hurt! I tried pressing on my belly a bit to get him to move and he just pushed back harder. I actually have a few bruises on my abdomen now. Stubborn little turd. And he's strong! So, when he finally settled down, I was exhausted and decided to take a little nap. That was a little after 4 pm. John just let me sleep and I woke up just before 1 am. I guess I must have needed the rest, but now I'm gonna be up forever. On the bright side, Murphy cuddled me while my unborn child was abusing me. So someone was sympathetic. LOL

I loved the video. The way the kitten plays in the snow is how Floey played in the snow. She loved it. chased it all over the yard. didn't mind walking in it either but she was warm blooded like me. She used to lay on her back all the time because it was too hot in the house..I sure miss my Flo Monster kitty. She had this loud purr you could hear across the room.

Last night went to see my dad and there's some medical stuff going on that is concerning me. He goes to the doctor on Tuesday. So I hope they can figure out what's going on with him and manage whatever it is....you know when you have parents-you always think they will live forever...or friends or whoever....and when the years go by and health issues come up-you are faced with the reality that they may not be here as long as we want....and it is bothering me to be honest.

The good news of last night is we went to eat at a small country place with good prices..so much better than the Bonanzas we were going to. Jon and I had baked stuffed haddock with crabmeat filling-it had a white sauce and was so yummy. The topping was real crumbly stuff and they didn't skimp on it. The rice was good. Jon got a potato but we took it home. I couldn't finish my meal and will eat it tonight. Dad and his girl got Salisbury steak and mashed tators and baked stuffed chicken-it looked really good. We had a good meal and they had a bakery so we got some huge chocolate chip cookies to take home...and the best part? they have a bookcase of free paperbacks..so I took a few-they had some good ones too!

We went back to their house for a bit and they have a cat and dog..I smooched up to the dog more than the cat! older guy who just loves being rubbed and petted-guess they said he's gotten aggressive to strangers so he can't go out with people but he didn't act anything like that with me..just kept rubbing on me and staring at me...too bad the girls hate dogs and I don't have time to take care of one. I should have taken a picture-didn't think of it..he's a small dog about 25lb or so-just enough to be bigger than the cat...the cat gets grouchy at the dog..she was in a box and the dog came up to sniff the box and out swiped a paw with claws  She likes getting pet but don't touch her tail but my dad always wacks the tip of the tail and she loves it-she is always waving that tail around-she's a tortie dark short hair. she is always on my dads lap. and the dog gets jealous.

When I got home none of my cats cared about the smells on me...it was give me treats time so she wanted that more than being upset at smelling other animals..

It is the kind of day nothing feels quite right. Still muddling through the payday weekend stuff because it must be done. We went to the Habitat for humanity restore and all of the practical household stuff was put away and it was turned into a Christmas store. Too crowded and nothing at all for me.

Update on Patrick, my black foster cat: there is someone in Tracy, CA who wants him. That is East of San Francisco and I'm South of Los Angeles. The problem is on how to get him there, it's over 500 miles from here. He can be brought there by what they call a "chain", several people transporting him each a bit of the way, sort of like the pony express. But communications have broken down a bit. The first person in the chain wanted me to bring him to Bakersfield which is doable as it would take about 2 1/2 hours by car. Problem is that this person wanted him in Bakersfield by 10:30 a.m. on Friday. That would mean rush hour traffic for 2/3 of the way and rush hour traffic here is a nightmare, it would take me at least 4 1/2 hours for that trip (and then probably 3 hours back, that's a lot of driving in one day even for car-obsessed California drivers). I was never told an address or the name of the person who was supposed to call me and never did. So I am still waiting and waiting. Another person on this site even tried to get things moving but so far no luck. This is very frustrating.

I lost my mother in 2015, one month after my birthday. She was two months short of her 98th birthday and was quite ready to go. I'm on the verge of going on Medicare. And I still want my Mommy.

There's no such thing as being ready to lose a beloved parent.

This is very frustrating.
It sounds like it! I hope you can get it straightened out soon. :vibes: :crossfingers:

Alicia88 Alicia88 , :alright:. It will be over soon, after which the really hard work begins. Maybe this will cheer you up a bit:

I think dolphins and cats share the same attitude about pregnant women.

You might try these guys. I know Colin Vurek reasonably well, as much as anyone can know anyone online (and he's a cat fanatic!) DRAT! I can't get the link. It is FaceBook, The Catz Meow Transport Service.

This would be fine but I don't know the name and address or phone of the person in Tracy either. This had all been arranged through catwoman707 who has a strange work week, her days off are in the middle of the week. I have her real name but that's all. Apparently she had it all arranged with the "chain" but nobody ever called me to arrange everything else. So I don't know where to bring Patrick to or where he will eventually end up. Pardon me, catwoman707 if you read this, if this all is starting to sound a little fishy.

Well, I finally killed it. I've had a rat in my bathroom cabinets harassing me for a week. I set traps, but he would avoid them. Sometimes when I'm in the bathroom, he would open the cabinet and pop his head out. Since he was so big, I thought it definitely a packrat. Those things are R.O.U.S.'s . But after looking at it (in the trap), this is not a packrat. It has the looks of a normal rat. Except it's about 5x's the size.
Although I'd love to show the pictures, I don't think it appropriate for this site.
I made sure the kittens couldn't get into the bathroom, no telling what these rodents have. I also removed all my towels from there. I can now sleep better knowing it's gone and there is no way the kittens can get it. What a relief.

segelkatt segelkatt What about Pilots n Paws ? I don't know if they are active in California. They brought Serendipity, my avatar from Long Island to Indianapolis, IN for me...

www.pilotsnpaws.org
It was a 2 leg trip, the first from Long Island to Columbus, OH with a flight attendant who is a member of PnP. Then a private pilot picked her up at the Columbus airport and brought her to me to a small airport in northwest Indpls.
It was so worth it ! Felv + kitten....

Good luck in getting Patrick to his new forever home :catrub:

As I told Mamanyt1953 I don't have the name, address, phone or email of the person who is to be Patrick's future mom in Tracy, CA, or that of the first transporter in Bakersfield, CA, it was all arranged through catwoman707 and I have not heard anything further. Still waiting.
