Cute Kitty Beds

Do your cats use pet beds? If so what do they look like? How much did you spend on them and where did you get them? If you look at my avatar you will see my kitten enjoying her strawberry bed. I'm hoping on finding her an equally cute bed, if not cuter! I saw one a couple of weeks ago and it was a can of tuna 

I would love to see photos of your kitty's in cute pet beds

Ritz has never used the few cat beds I got her.  She prefers to sleep on top of the cat condo or cat tree.  Or, a sweat shirt/t-shirt.  Or the rug.

I've ended up donating the unused, under-appreciated cat beds to the cat sanctuary where I volunteer.

Cat beds have never been popular around here, probably because we have a water bed, which is much comfier at night, and two window perches that are right over radiators. Jamie used to like to sleep up in the cat tree, too, but Mogli figures that's just for play.

Two wicker cat beds were gifts (one is being used as a cat toy box), and I picked up a padded cotton "igloo" at a supermarket that got minimal use in summer only. We had a sheepskin bed that Jamie was given by a nearby company as thanks for spotting a burglar and waking me up in time to call the police. He wouldn't use the bed, so I cut it up to use as cushions in his cat tree beds.

I can relate, I have a memory foam bed, and my kitten LOVES it. But recently shes been showing love to her strawberry bed too x3

Awwhe, my kitten loves to sleep on clothes on the floor, great since I have a little pre teen brother who leaves his clothes all over his room lol.

I didn't get a cat bed because I've heard that they usually never use them anyway. I made a cozy bed out of a small cardboard box, and my kitten used it for one afternoon. After that, he sleeps on my bed.

Only once ever? O_O My kitten loves her strawberry bed as much as my memory foam bed O: I'd be upset if she hated her bed X_X

I got Chowder a covered bed when I got him. He's never ever stepped inside it. He much prefers "his" couch cushion.

I'd say it's more common than not.

My cat Lox will ADORE a bed I buy, and then change preferences. I still keep the bed around because when we travel or move she prefers to use it again. I think cats have their own preferences just like people - it's hard to know if they will like something or not. Or, they will like something and then change their mind and maybe go back to it eventually.

My indoor boy, Jake hates the cat beds we have purchased.  He loves the rectangular laundry basket with a towel inside.  He loves cozy blankets on chairs.  He loves loves loves my sons heated mattress pad.  He likes sleeping on the highest perch of the cat trees.  Yet, one of his favorite places to sleep is the large dog bed!  Of course only when the dog isn't it it.  He loves to stretch out and claim it as his own.  Go figure.  Hates the cozy cats beds, but loves the dog bed.

Wow, I had no idea so many cats shun their special beds.  Glad I haven't broken down to buy one yet lol.

I am in the market for something to put on our radiator, since that's where Cocoa spends nearly all her time.  It's under a huge picture window, boxed in but it's made of metal and in the winter will be far too hot for her to sit on and in the summer, really is too hard and cool.  We used to have a towel on it but it kept sliding off, even after taping it down.  

Ideally, want something rectangular so it doesn't overhang, something to protect her from the heat and cold and heavy enough not to slip when she goes careening into it - which she's prone to doing sometimes.   I'm confident she'll use whatever we put there since it's her favorite spot.  Anywhere else in the house would probably be a crap shoot for her and Casper - they have too many places they enjoy that a pet bed just wouldn't work.

I have 2 Slumber Balls from Drs. Foster & Smith.  My kitties love them in the cooler months.

I have a couple of these and the one that I put on the cat tree gets used daily.  (This kitty barely fits in this bed now!)

Then I have a couple of these that we picked up at Sam's many, many years ago.  I line them with towels in the winter months and put the pet heaters in there and they are prime real estate.

Now that it is getting cooler weather, my ladies use ME for their cat bed. I usually wake up with Sheba, Silly and Julie curled up in a cat pile next to my left shoulder, and Sugar and Spice snuggled against my left leg.

Of course, any blanket or human bed is also a favorite napping spot for my kitties!

It doesn't look like this little kitty's going to let this bed go no matter what you offer in exchange! Loving it.

I bought a cute little faux sheepskin bed for Mouse before I brought him home and he's never touched it.  It gets used to store his toys in when they're 'off duty'.  

He sleeps where ever I am mostly and at night he snuggles up at my knees or feet. He will occasionally takes himself off to the folded up double fleece I've got on top of my laundry basket: it's a comfy but cool spot right under a window I keep slightly open.  His favourite spot is my bed when I've just changed the sheets - he claims the fresh pillows before I get a look in every time.
