What shampoo and/or conditioner are you using right now? I need something different as my hair seems to be getting lifeless again. I think part of the problem is the dieting. Maybe I'm not getting enough protein.
I've been using Garnier for a long time. In late 2011, I switched to WEN (a product found on QVC and on TV infomercials) and I really liked it. It made my hair so shiny and so soft. But I didn't like all the rinsing I had to do to get the stuff out of my hair all the time. And after a few months of using WEN, my hair started to fall out. So I went back to Garnier.
I had switched stylists right around the time my hair was falling out and when she asked me what I was using and I told her WEN, she told me to stop using it. Now. Many of her clients who were using WEN also started to have trouble with hair loss and she was telling them all to stop using it. Once they did and went back to their old cleansers, the hair loss stopped. It seems to be an ongoing problem with WEN, although if you Google any shampoo/conditioner, you will, no doubt, find lots of stuff on hair loss with those products, too.
Pantene makes my hair very dry and flyaway. So does Suave.
I've been using Garnier Fall Fight Shampoo and the same in Conditioner. After towel-drying and before combing it out, I use Biosilk Therapy. I have to blow my hair dry after I wash it (when I'm going to work) because, otherwise it would still be very damp at noon; my hair is thick with a natural wave that I usually try to blow out. So I use Garnier Blow Dry Perfector Straightening Balm with argon oil to try to halt some of the frizzies. And a little bit of Vidal Sassoon Foaming Air Mousse at the roots for a bit of lift. I don't use a curling iron or rollers anymore; I simply don't have the time in the morning anymore. I will if we're going out on the weekend and I want my hair to look a little nicer. But for normal days, I wash, comb, and blow dry.
I wash my hair every two or three days. It's down past my shoulders now and I have the roots touched-up every 4-5 weeks. I'm getting a little tired of the expense of touch-ups, but I really don't want to go white yet. And I'm beyond grey now.....my hair would be white. I'm not ready.
Most of the time I let my hair down, but when I'm walking or exercising, I put it back in a pony tail. And when I'm cooking, I'll put it back to keep it out of my face and the food.
I'm curious what you all use on your hair. Do you like it? Do you want to switch to something else? Do you color your hair?
