Hi everyone, I'm appealing for donations for a community cat (who goes by the name of Boy), who is battling a complex liver infection. On 14 April, she was rescued in critical condition, but in the past week, she's finally on the right antibiotic and recovering! Unfortunately, the vet bills are high as she's been at the vet for almost a month. Her bills have reached almost 10,000 Singapore dollars (SGD) now and we're still about 4,000 SGD short of the projected eventual total after fundraising from friends and neighbours.
All details about her condition and vet bills are on her GoGetFunding page: Give Boy a 2nd Chance: Help this Community Cat Fight Liver Infection!
Prior to this post, this is what we have already done/considered over the past month:
Any help sharing about our fundraising to people whom this may matter to, or a personal contribution would be immensely appreciated!

Prior to this post, this is what we have already done/considered over the past month:
- Raised funds through neighbours, friends and social media including local cat network groups. The response has been encouraging and these funds have been listed as offline donations on the page. But given the large bill, we've pretty much exhausted all our resources by this time.
- Requested to pay the vet bills by installment. However, we're already on a 25% stray cat discount rate, which is their highest discount tier, so our request was declined.
- Reaching out to animal welfare organisations, but AWOs are themselves struggling due to high rentals, inflation and increased pet abandonment post-Covid. The only non-profit clinic in Singapore run by the SPCA is overwhelmed.
Any help sharing about our fundraising to people whom this may matter to, or a personal contribution would be immensely appreciated!
