Thank you for reporting this!
Logged in users are supposed to get a limited number of ads. Not zero, I'm afraid. There should be a banner at the top of the page, but definitely not a full-size ad, nor a sticky bottom of the page ad.
Sometimes rogue ads get through and sometimes ads could be...
It sounds like the issue you're facing might be related to the integration of Google Analytics on the site. Sometimes, if the Google Analytics server is slow to respond or if there's a network hiccup, it might cause a delay as you've described. Rest assured, Google Analytics is primarily used...
Something quirky happened yesterday that we need to fill you in on. Here's the scoop:
Whoops Moment: Our admin clicked the update button a little too soon, which caused some glitches in the Matrix... err, our forum.
Back to Basics: We had to go back to an older version using a backup. But...
The ad company got back to me and said they were seeing Disney ads served here but none showed the reported behavior. Fingers crossed this was just a bug!
Ads pay the bills for this site and others like it. If everyone were to block ads, there would be no free content on the internet and sites like ours would need to charge users money to surf in order to keep the site going. We try to keep the number of ads shown to logged in users to a minimum...
Ouch, sorry to see this and thanks for reporting! It's not supposed to be happening and I can't see it on my end or heard others reporting it. I'll forward this to our ad rep so she can look into this. It could be a rogue ad. I hope it doesn't happen again (sometimes another publisher will...

That sounds really strange, and maybe even suspicious. I can't see why our ad network would ever deliver something like that, making me wonder if this could be some adware on your computer.
I'm afraid we can't do much about that without a screenshot. Nothing to chase down, unfortunately...
I think this could be a different issue. It's not an intestitial ad, but a footer ad covering the page (which should not be happening but is not the same code, if that makes sense). I'll report this one as well. Thank you for letting me know!
Thanks for the additional reports, everyone! The ad network says they tweaked the settings to prevent these from coming in. You may need to clear your cache for the new settings to kick in.
If you're still seeing them after clearing your cache, please let me know.
Thank you for your patience...
